how many people are doing a mall for the YouAlwaysWin Zombie Map Contest 2014 I'm doing one and I've seen a few other people say that. just curios.

I'm going for a realistic Santa's factory

i am making a Christmas Zombie Killing Arena, It is all icy and stuff and buyable turrets, with the ability to get kill streaks so, 5 kills will get u qr then 250 kills with get u jugg, and so on. and there will be no buyable doors, U spawn and trigger a door to open (which take 5 mins and then the next door ten mins and so on. At the end there will be a slide made out of ice and stuff!!!!! SO, please don't steal my idea  8)  Btw my original idea was that i make a mall too

not gonna lie my original idea was also a mall, so that idea is getting scratched

If theres 10 malls, I hope even 1 of them is good one, I dont want to see everyone of them be same with stock textures and such

I dont see the point in porting too many textures... World at War has almost anything you need. Given that you use the given textures properly.

All but snow... the most essential texture in a christmas map lol.

well mine is going to need snow, trust me

Mall idea: You are in the mall but all the stores are locked and all new guns and perks are located inside the shops and every few minutes or after a certain # of kills another shop opens with a new gun, perk or objective to complete (like got find a green present and bring it back to the store OR get 20 headshots OR shoot 3 posters of elves around the mall) . Then once the whole mall is unlocked and all objectives are completed you save Christmas! Or have to fight some deformed boss that looks like the twisted spawn of Santa a reindeer and DJ Qualls.

i kinda already have a armory that will open every 5 rounds and close at the end of that specific round and I'm making presents that are operable (kinda like dig spots)

Among one of those ideas was a mall map...here's what I wrote down on that thread if you're interested:

"I'm not sure if there's ever been a map based off a mall, but here's how it worked:

There were 2 playable areas: the outside area (around the outside of the mall), and inside the mall, which was about 3 stories high. It takes place during a stormy, winter night and the starting place was outside the entrance to the mall. When you entered, the entire mall was dark and you had to activate the power to get the lights back on.

The only other thing I could remember from this is that there were 2 different pieces of music that played in the map:

I like some of these ideas. Especially things becoming "unlocked" or "locked away" from you
