Honestly I think it should be linked to the portal then, because It seems like a rip from Shadows or Origins rather than a Nuketown remaster if it isnt.
I don't want to give anything away but the portal is used in conjunction with this hellish area. I didn't map this place just randomly because it looked cool, when you play it you should understand

what is the purpose of expanding on a survival map that has no connection to the storyline?not everything needs to have a story, the community isn't trey arch, its not are job to add or expand to the story, the purpose of this is to create a good map and improve what it could have been

Well it is in the story line, it was in bo2, secondly, most custom maps are not in the story line, why do u care, thirdly why wouldn't you want a massive improvement to what most people consider a terrible map? and finally, this is the second time u have said this, no one cared or agreed last time, and its the same this time, kthxbye.
