Nevada's research facility has been overpowered by undead hordes of
facility workers and soldiers originally set out to protect mankind.
The countdown has begun to an ever expanding zombies experience.

Map Design
With this map design I really wanted to expand upon what Treyarch brought to the table with the original Nuketown
Zombies in Black Ops 2. By this I mean give the community what they were theorising about before the map was
released including a fully accessible fallout bunker filled to the brim with Easter eggs, multiple old dirt roads
surrounding the destroyed town and the entire road opened up for you to explore shown in this image:

Weapon Ideas
Weapon set will be mostly era specific, focusing mainly on "Black Ops" weapons while at the same time adding
variation to gameplay by adding unique weapons from other Call of Duty's / Completely custom weapons,
refined to the best of our ability.

Time for an update!
FS Mod will have many fun gamemodes for you to enjoy. I'll reveal two of them. Both have timed gameplay.

GUN GAME
Typical gun game. Based on kills. All doors are open. Each player has 3 lives (solo too). When a player dies, he loses 25% of his points but he doesn't go into last stand, instead he respawns at a random place on the map as far from zombies as possible. The game ends when a player wins or when all players are dead.

SCAVENGER
Each player starts out with a pistol/knife/random weapon (selectable in the gamemode selection menu). Every door open. You can't buy anything. Weapons spawn on ground randomly (thanks to DUKIP for the weapon spawning code). Zombies start out sprinting. Their health never changes and players can take 4 hits before going down. Last stand is enabled, but there is permadeath.

If you want, you can give us suggestions on what gamemodes you want and maybe we will consider them. Also, I'll leave it up to you to guess what Neighbourhood Watch is going to be ;)

Don't know if I should be happy about this, or sad... :( No but really Jammy I think this project will be a success, other than the fact that the FS Mod really isn't needed. Ill just sit here and be salty I guess... Hope to see what your creative mind can do with the houses and bunker! ;D

Nuketown is a curse, only the crap nuketown 1945 map was eventually completed, all these cancels, and the wip before this is probably cancelled too
You guys have the possibility to break this curse and this map looks amazing already

I believe that was All or Nothing very fun game mode don't know why they didn't have it in the other CODs.

The new gamemode, "Scavenger" sounds interesting

I believe that was All or Nothing very fun game mode don't know why they didn't have it in the other CODs.

I think the closest another CoD got to that game mode, was 1 in the Chamber on BO2.

Everyone's trying to break the damn curse, but something happens like a treyarch bug (VONDERHAAR is #smokeweedeveryday)

MW3 did bring some real good modes imo - Face-Off, Infected and All or Nothing
As I said these gamemodes should be in their gamemode list

Survival kinda sucked imo, hated how it was 2 players, and if one guy died, the game was over. Drop Zone i never got into and to this day dont know what the mode is, and in regards to Juggs, i know there is a striker v Juggs on Dome for Infected and i hate that one - maybe because i hate Dome too

Im ok with it, as long as Juggernog doesnt 100% spawn in last at round 25.

so its a more realistic mode like it would be in a real apocalypse (more or less)

Yesterday was successful day in ideas point of view and we got so much planned out. Next update will tell about these ideas, but no big reveals  ;)

Just a quick update what I'm working on at the moment, the yellow house is complete apart from the garage and the garden.
After that, the only thing left to do is clean up and finish green houses garden. That should set the foundation for all the expansion ;)

not sure if you understand this, but a BETA is when a map is mostly done (95-99%), but is needed to be tested to see if there are any problems lying within the map itself.

:please: I always do betas, when I think its time for such. And if there would be only one beta at end, you would end up forgetting stuff you need to test :P (Mainly Co-Op stuff)

Thats kinda funny because Leviathan also had their own group to test it as well as other beta testers and look how that turned out - Gspawn errors and a dozen other issues.

As i said in Leviathan's WIP topic: You need debuggers, not beta testers - but thats just my opinion.  :troll:

I'm not going to judge the studio as a whole because i don't really know what their capable of. In terms of map design it looks impressive, however I've played maps that Ray and Ege have both helped script in some way and i know they don't test things to the fullest extent that they could.

And that's exactly the part where HitmanVere jumps in :D . He already helped ege to improve his scripts, and this will absolutely happen in nuketown as well

If Im given enough time, I will find as many bugs as possible. My maps have their bugs just cos of either no time to test further or I was newcomer in this scene. And believe me, usually when I test,  bugreport is pretty long  :please:

This look really nice FS, I would be damned if this map came out in this month. God I would actually demand it. What really madden’s me is that Celtic never got released. I really hope that the EE will be a really mad and crazy at the end of it. But I reckon all of you guys in FS are awesome and because of it, I reckon this map will be damned great.

Thanks for letting us know, and yes, the map does look really nice, and so does the other nuketown remake, which has disappeared into the oblivion of the internet. but the main point of this off-topic convo, was because the trailer/teaser had nothing in it to absorb in it.
anyway, i'll be waiting for more info on this map to come out, since it's quite a decent looking map.

These types of public disclosures are saddening.   

There is  nothing wrong with admitting to "creative differences" or differences in styles or methods of development.   Going further than that creates a public spectacle.  This reflects poorly on the involved parties and serves no benefit to anyone other than bystanders with buckets of popcorn looking for some entertainment.

Team building requires compromises, sometimes individuals do not want to compromise and individuals part ways.  That's understandable, but unless people have been personally wronged (work stolen like c.h.n.), it's best to keep minor squabbles and differences to private conversations.

Hopefully the focus of this thread returns back to the map, which looks promising so far.

Just a quick update to let you guys know I have been working alot underground (Which we have made a promise not to spoil any more than we already have.) I have also started laying down the foundations of the outside houses, here is the first one :

It would be cool if you somehow made that door open up and give access to a collapsed piece of terrain down the side of the crater, maybe a basement missing a wall or just some crumbled rocks and debris. Just the idea of having an area overlooking the crater that you could even fall in and die sounds cool to me :) Great work so far :)

Its a chainsaw. Only models and sounds exists in BO1 and the UVs are pretty messed up, lol

if you didn't know it these weapons are free but you have to find a custom variant in supply drops
and u get the base version(this is for the SVO and the STG44)the blunderbuss is free(u have already the base version)

easter eggs are not "always" hidden. The "Ecola" machines in GTA that are literally everywhere are a form of easter egg

Posters, random articles from other games, films or media in random places. Hell in Perfect Dark and Goldeneye there were slices of "cheese" just randomly around lol

I was playing with unreal engine and realised how amazing the lighting was and had an idea, I got a few IEL light brushes and made a compilation of like 9 light variants. I mixed this with a spotlight in game and BAM, I think it turned out pretty well.

Also, Im having trouble fleshing out the main street since its way too open / easy. Any ideas to break it up a bit
would help alot, thanks ;). Also, try to ignore the texturing since its all rough at the moment for the most part.

Add an appropriate amount of risers in the main street area - that should do the trick. Also, are you still going through with the last house and the fa- I mean other area? If so, i'm quite excited to see the transportation method (as it has not been added to it's original planned location seeing as it's not there in the picture). Anyway, nice work so far, Jammy!

Well, weapons are pretty much all ported IIRC. One or two are being done at the moment. Ray finished FS mod ages ago. Jammy has just been taking his time mapping and making it perfect. It's not always about the weapons, Stevie. Gotta actually make the map look good before you concern yourself with what weapons are in it.

Quick update on the layout of the map, the underground facility is hidden but its just a little bit smaller than the above ground area. (Once again, ignore glitchy patches / textures which I'm moving onto fixing now.)

Did I mention the word 'weapons'? How about a hud, playermodels, perks, ANYTHING to do with actual zombies. All I see is Jammy's excellent work and NOTHING else. Not to mention, I've already seen most of this map in BO2 already. Just a thought.

Rest assured I'll be ready to pick out any negatives I find when Ray or whoever else decided to actually post some work, even if I like it, because apparently that's the done thing.

Hate the horrible purple light at the top, menu is too dark, Olympia textures look like they are drawn with a crayon, the gun name on the hud is too close to the ammo, and I don't like the font, the custom idle anim on the STG is awful, blue points? Nope.

Ray, that menu looks really sexy. Looks like bo2's but better imo. I'm really excited to see how the ranking system goes. Wonder how it will compare with the bo3 ranking system in zombies.

I will agree with stevie on some things, yeah the ammo counter looks too close to the weapon name and the purple light could be toned down a bit imo. But hey, you never said anything was cast in stone lol.

Keep up the awesome work on this guys, it really looks great so far.

As I said, both menu backgrounds you've seen are animated, in fact, the bo2 globe was a thing since April.

I only update on mapping progress, but like I said before, I'm trying my hardest not to post any more pictures of inside of the outside map houses / underground (What I'm mapping as I type this.) Since it will spoil the first time you play, and I always think its 1000% better when you discover the map yourself. ;)

Very true! Sometimes i think its nice to know a map is being made and then all of a sudden it gets released! Makes me want to keep playing the map over and over till i discover everything

We have a guy on the team who's soul purpose is to produce audio / music tracks for the map. I think you can rely on us not to fuck up  :lol:

What's wrong with expanding it? It's not just more houses, it's also an underground area.

Besides, remastering an old map doesn't restrict you into ONLY recreating the map we all know. That's a waste of time. :please:

Yes and Bo2 did Nuketown this way and it was absolute crap - I know they had plans to expand it and do loads of stuff with it, but they decided to ditch those plans and instead rush the map and make CE buyers like me completely waste their money, and then they said fuck you again by releasing Nuketown to everyone throughout the next 2 months.

What these guys are doing are correcting 3arcs god awful mistakes just like what the Tranzit re-make was gonna do  - and i was upset to see that cancelled.

Yeah I can't really see how anyone can cry over this remake and be mad. The mapping is great, From what I've seen of the mod, the mod looks good and they're actually adding new ideas and hey guess what they don't actually blow. Most remakes are poorly made boxy looking versions of the maps. This map not only recreates the Treyarch map but adds loads of new areas which is awesome. Treyarch planned more areas and then was like here's the map oh and B T DUBS we didn't put the extra areas in. I for one mostly hate remakes usually because the creators never add their own spins on them. The usually recreate the map badly and add a bunch of broken weapons and go there yah go it's kinda? a? remake? kinda... These guys are clearly putting in the work and making the map everything the want it to be. I for one am happy they've decided to add new areas and add their own spin. If i wanted to play Nuketown zombies the way it was originally made i'd play BO2.

I'm not being big headed or anything but I'm serious when I say that if I tired to add more detail to the map it wouldn't compile, VIS is a bitch in WaW.

Well Celtic was my first map so I was going mental with all the materials and models like bloody Oprah. SOOO, I ended up realising WaW has limits, a lot of them :S But just so you know, it isn't dead just yet *Wink* lol

I don't want to give anything away but the portal is used in conjunction with this hellish area. I didn't map this place just randomly because it looked cool, when you play it you should understand ;)

1 - you might, the other 90% of members will come in here complaining however

2 - mappers don't usually want half complete versions of their map floating about confusing people, or unfinished work getting plastered over YouTube - coz lets be fair here people will instantly no clip and give all in console and 9/10 times when the next update comes out, people try playing co-op together despite one of them still being on the out of date version which makes it crash - then again they come here complaining

3 - game is media, media is art, don't see half finished portraits on display ;)

This is accurate, it is aggravating watching Youtubers play outdated versions of a map, complaining about issues whilst you sit there "this is fixed in update, that's fixed"

Id much rather wait longer, and experience a 100% complete, non buggy map

Blue stuff is, but the skulls aren't atm. Might end up getting a few to float here and there :) But the whole premise of this hell  area is 115 displacement, and how time travel can destroy time which froze it in place.
