The best place to be in an apocalypse? A militairy base offcourse!

Starship Troopers meets zombies: Survive your final stand at Whiskey Outpost.
One of my favorite no-nonsense action movies: Starship Troopers (1997).
Trapped at Whiskey outpost you need to survive long enough for evacuation to arrive,
going for instense gameplay mixing in zombies with aliens.

Havent really started working on it yet, except for comming up with ideas.

Small first update. haven't really done that much yet. A very little bit of mapping of an underground area that will prob be spawn..
Other then that it's mainly been comming up with ideas, and looking at some possible assets so far..

A few screens:

You could make a good sized base split into 2 sides (which are given very different layout designs) and at the beginning of each wave the team must choose which side they want to hold down. When the wave begins the opposite side of the base becomes inaccessible. Choosing a base side would give players a little variety AND they wouldn't feel too overwhelmed because the zombies & aliens would only be coming from the front and on the sides a bit. The challenge would be that the zombies and aliens are faster than the players so it benefits players to use high ground, coordinated attacks, sniper rifles for taking them out at a distance, electric doorway traps and other explosives like claymores. You could also have care packages dropped around the map with very heavy weapons maybe this is how perks are acquired too. The enemy health could scale at a much slower pace too since with the jump in enemy speed it's going to be hard enough to take care of business as the waves get longer.

Any progress to post? Once you begin mapping you need to update your topic. If we see a completed map posted as the first progress update we cannot verify it was made for the contest.

Unfortunately i gave up on this map a while ago since i'm putting all my efforts into the realism-mod. I might have a surprise up my sleeve though, nothing huge but at least its something

Damn, this map looked promising, too... Ah well, do as you please. I'm super hyped about the realism mod, so I suppose it's for the best. Can't wait to see more!
