I mean I see just a few games in the server browser and less maps released compared to some months ago. Did all the community move to BO3 or is this game dead?

Yup, I can agree with him. Some moved to that overhyped piece of crap, just wish the Radiant wasn't released till a few months/1 year later so the hype can be balanced. But nope.

Sadly, that is true. Even after the bugs got fixed on the chat...

It totally sucks for some people who can't go to BO3 since their computers aren't powerful enough (i.e. me). Too bad I didn't figure that out until after buying the game! Sometimes I wish I could be a part of that newer, more active community, but I think WaW gives me enough to work with to keep me happy. Looking for help on this forum nowadays can be pretty tough though, not that many people around anymore!

BO3 mod tools suck because not only its overhyped, it lacks features, missing DLC stuff thats supposed to be included, 50 or 100+GB worth of data, and also the matter of fact that its not what I work with. Also shitty workshops with a crappy Verruckt remake with another crappy remake of Shi No Numa coming in.

Don't worry, people say that WaW sucks now = probably a BO3 mod tool fanboy. Glad this is still going kinda strong on the WaW side, but BO3's too much to work on. And besides, some of the people are horrible.

Currently the only thing we don't have - is access to lua - which is used for the hud stuff

We still however have access to gsc hud stuff

We can port assets

Map

Port guns

Have a billion more options in the new Assman as well as real time preview

In game view and real lighting in radiant

Dedicated servers

Gobble gums

All the original guns and the dlc guns

90% of the assets from the giant and soe

The map file for the giant

And a ton more

And - they never said we were getting dlc stuff, infact most of us expected we wouldn't for the very reason the dlc for bo3 "costs" - waw was "free"

Also bo1 - did not have most of the above and didn't even include the zombie assets

Methinks someone is just a bit bitter that he can't run it

The community might be dead hemorrhaging badly but gosh darnit if me and Blunt still aren't going to release a few more maps with the Realism Mod 3.0 on it including Nuketown Realism, Industrial Estate Realism and the Greenhouse map with the Realism Mod 3.0 on it. Maybe even a surprise or two in the future too who knows The point is, we're not done yet and we still plan on having some fun before its over for WAW.

There's the aforementioned Realism 3.0 coming, Der Berg just hit the shelves, and both Perish and WhippyTrout's Alcatraz are on the horizon. (And perhaps Saint Nazaire and Ghost Swamp, though it's a stretch) This ship isn't sinking that quickly, naysayer.

 

For me personally, I would be modding on bo3, but since I only have a semi-good laptop I won't be planning on that anytime soon. Plus, a good gaming pc is not in my budget and won't be for quite a while.

I would consider the waw community officially dead when the only maps that release are box/test maps.
