I've decided to put up this WIP of my current project, this map started as a test-map to put in all sorts of feature's i scripted and test how they would work together in a more propper map.. It kept expanding up to the point i started to like the map itself. I added some extra area's and decided to continue this as a map. There's no official name for the map yet, i just used nova for myself at first, because of the nova crawlers... suggestions for a name are welcome!

I'm going for the dark theme, sorry.. not quite Original, but it just fits zombies i guess. Initially i wanted it to be VERY dark and have a torch light 'follow the players around'. After i realised most people would probably just turn up the brightness, i dropped that idea. So a normal-dark forrest-type enviroment it is, also with one underground area..
It will be a small to medium sized map with decent amount of detail, but escpecially A LOT of (i hope unique) feature's.

Some of the feature's i've added so far:
(i know, these feature's arent unique! They are just remake's of bo /bo2 one's mostly. There is some special stuff in the map, i promise! But like i said i dont want to reveal everything!)

-Origins Generators (working 100% like the Original)
-Origins Challenge box
-Nova Crawlers, Kino and Moon-style Nova's (so exploding with the gas-cloud and teleporting one's)
-2 Custom traps
-The Panzersoldat will make his return in this map, a fully updated version since Zombie-Sumpf!
-Buildables and other challenge's around the map
-Custom powerup drop
-a lot of bo / bo2 guns
-more than 10 WW (!) including 3 (new) custom one's

Not exactly sure on what perks i will be using, but these will be in the map for sure:

-double tap (maybe 2.0)

-electric cherry (maybe)

Show of a little bit of the map here in a pretty long, 10 min test video i made about two weeks ago showing one new feature (so the mapping in the video is old and outdated!, i've done quite some mapping the past days..). There will be challenge's that can be entered when all players agree, that you can do at any time. There will be 3 or 4 different one's. When entering a challenge your normal game will be paused, all player's will be given a new loadout and perks, and when you die in a challenge, you just continue your normal game with your old guns and perks. The point of these? Nothing really, just for fun and a little bit of extra points :D , and there might also be some special rewards in there...
btw. i know, richtofen's voice and dempsey's hands.. Stuff like that in the vid.. It will all be correct upon release! no worries!

Update August 3:

Didn't make as much progres as i would have hoped last few weeks. I'm busy at work, and need to do all this stuff at the evening's / nights.. Making steady progres though.. A small update on some stuff i added, also did some other things but i'll keep those as a surprise  ::)

Bluntstuffy, you should name the map "Mt.Wither" as the map takes place on a high-rise mountain like structure, and how the atmosphere has a dark sinister vibe. Also, since you have nova crawlers - it could fit the theme of Mt.Wither because of all the weird experiments that occurred up there IRL. Nice work so far dude, cant wait to play! ;) :D

Or you could name it "Project Wither", IMO this one sounds cooler!

As for name, few good ones already suggested, only thing have on my mind atm is Wasteland - unoriginal I know, just first thing came to me as read this
Name aside, good luck with everything and take as long as you need, I'm more than happy to wait for a polished release than endure a map with issues that requires numerous updates

When I saw footage of this test map, I thought it looked pretty sweet and it'd be nice to see it as a full map - and I'm glad you've done exactly that, very similar scenario to UGXs test map, I really liked the look of it and clearly so did many others and we managed to persuade them to make a proper map out of it, if you put effort into just a test map, you should make the most out of it. Looking forward to this ;)
