I play any games really. There aren't a ton that a 970 i7 combo cant handle. The chapstick helps too

R.A.T 3 mouse
It's not a super expensive hardcore gaming PC, but it runs almost all my games (even the newer ones) on ultra, so I'm happy about it.

RAM is not as important for gaming as the CPU and GUP are. You could probably get by with 8 GB just fine. 16 GB is a nice upgeade but that's all you would really need.

Overkill isn't always a bad thing, at least he doesn't have to worry about upgrading RAM anytime soon, as I'm sure 32GB will be pretty decent for the next few years. if not decade.
Nothing wrong with 32 GBs of RAM but holy damn is that a lot.

Nothing wrong with 32 GBs of RAM but holy damn is that a lot.people like me need it, people who use a triple monitor set up with about 80 programs open "all the time"

Unless your doing some heavy multitasking or video rendering(and/or other professional applications), 32GB is just a waste of money and you get no real benefit in having it.
But i digress. My PC specs:
PSU: Corsair CX 430
CPU: Intel Core i5 2320 (4cores, 2nd gen, @3ghz)
GPU: EVGA GTX 750 TI SuperClocked
RAM: 8GB 1333mhz DDR3
HDD(2): 1TB 7200 RPM HD, 750GB 7200 RPM HD
