Unfortunately i don't think the zombiemode is going to last for much longer either. Even at the beginning of Black Ops 2 the idea of killing endless hoards of the undead was starting to get old, or maybe it was just because Tranzit was so terrible of a map.

I still had the itch to slay zombies throughout Black Ops 2, but yeah... Tranzit was a miserable map and it was the beginning of a downward slope. All the maps that followed were pretty poor. Origins and MotD are slight exceptions, but they still don't compare to older maps.

The next outing will be make or break for the game mode for sure.

They have been released but no it doesnt have radiant, the mod tools are just basically a program to extract different stuff and models and put it into waw
Oh ok i thought so, Treyarch would never release anything to create a map because as is W@W  and UGX mod is the biggest screw you to Treyarch.

I was honestly disappointed with Ghosts, and even the new Onslaught DLC didn't interest me much, so when the next CoD comes out, I'll watch stuff first to make sure I'll get my money's worth. Considering how MW3 came out, I don't think the new CoD from Sledge is going to interest me, but then again, they could pull some trick from their hat that makes it worthwhile.

On the side of BO1 stuff, I've had a good time doing mods on MP with BO1 mod tools. Would definitely be fun if an open source zombie mode mod was made and everyone could contribute and make it their own (add their own stuff to it), even though I've seen quite a few already existing zombies in MP mods.

nice to see you lurking on UGX, Rollon. You the only person atm making mods for bo 1 I think. If there is more than the 3 I got. I would be excited to try em. I love BO, most favorite cod game of all time by far. Still play it :D

Heads up guys, the next Call of Duty is going to be called Call of Duty: Goats. You play as an undercover agent disguised as a goat so that you can infiltrate the goats HQ and stop them from nuking every human on the planet.

Hers a gameplay trailer:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgTQglGvNUs

Best Call of Duty ever in my opinion.  :troll:

Mob of the dead was made by the singleplayer team and Origins by the Zombies and Singleplayer team. Singleplayer team is doing better maps :D

I wish this were true, but until someone delivers a better experience they can do whatever they want and TONS of people will buy it just because they want another taste of addicting zombie action. Also, what was so bad about BLOPS 2 Zombies? New Guns, the maps were bigger, the easter eggs were longer, etc. Serious question: What do we want that they haven't given us? Or what would people like to see more of?

Well, in Tranzit on the PS3 you could run into unrendered areas in the map where the caulk(i think?) would show and it'd look ugly as hell. Then there's the sound engine issue where your games sound is replaced with some random sound until you switch to the MP or SP engine. and finally, the FPS(non-server) lag... there was no excuse why they couldn't have optimized their engine and coding to get a constant 60 FPS framerate. None at all.

Honestly, i'd like to see the entire franchise die. Its been fun, but killing the same enemies with the same weapons with the same gameplay mechanics is getting old.

Serious question: What do we want that they haven't given us? Or what would people like to see more of?

The maps were all really rather poor. Tranzit was a barren wasteland. Going from activity laden Moon to the tragic mess that was Tranzit was awful. The map itself is not that bad in terms of design, but they basically included stock perks, an awful wonder weapon (if it can be called that!?), uncontrollable teleporters, uselss and redundant buildables that pretty much don't work effectively past round 1, a small, unrewarding EE and the poorest collection of weapons I have ever seen.

NTZ is easily one of the worst zombie maps ever made and is almost comparable on scale to Nacht. It had such a poor design to it. Making a small map smaller!? Adding 2 box location to one area!? Visually stunning, but completely rushed.

Die Rise was a major improvement, but the map had serious, game breaking issues. Layout was great, but the lack of an ability to traverse back up the map was game breaking. It effectively meant if you decided to train in the Buddha room, you were NOT going to be reviving anyone that game. Made me feel awful when playing with friends and having to tell them I was not coming for them. Broken slide was also a game breaker. If we were not supposed to die from it, why did they not just extend it the whole way down? Why the broken gap?

MotD is a great map. Tedious setup, but great nonetheless.

Buried is just awful. Ridiculous concept and wasted design. There was so much wasted space on that map. Barn, Saloon, Church, Courthouse, Maze, Tunnels... all spots a player would never use in game. Left us with the road area to train in, and with all the stuff they crammed in, you would have to have no arms not to reach round 'a million' on that map with 0 downs!

Origins has a great layout, and there is some really nice touches to it, but it is not worthy of a final DLC map. That is the kind of map we should have got with the game... not as out finale. Terrible glitches and bugs ruin it for the most part, but when a game goes smoothy, it is by far the most fun experience in BO2.

EE's were all really easy, and very unrewarding. Most of the rewards were overshadowed by in-game features. Tranzit game you a power up drop that was easily obtainable in game. Die Rise gave you the perks, which you could obtain easily from the nova crawlers. Buried gave you perma perks, but persistent tombstone on that map more or less did the same thing. MotD and Origins gave you things throughout the quests, but they were exactly that... quests, not Easter eggs.

I wanted to see proper rewards. Rewards that make the EE's something worth doing. MotD and Origins aside, the other BO2 maps were only worth doing to get the achievement and to listen to the audio quotes for story development purposes. None of the rewards were worth the effort of doing the EE, and the challenge of finding enough people to do all 3 and then pressing the button is even more difficult due to it being completely worthless... especially the Maxis side.

Then there was the poor execution of the front end. Having 2 & 3 player leaderboards were novel, but trying to get a 2 or 3 player game going in a public lobby was a nightmare! Then of course there was the terrible issues with the game itself, all related to the dated engine they continue to use.

I enjoyed playing BO2 throughout the season, but by the time Buried dropped I knew it was never going to improve and I felt deflated at the thrown together mess that lacked any real story, and ended in such a horrific manner, that it made me lose a LOT of respect for the zombie team over at Treyarch.

This feeling is felt by most of the community. So much so that several members of the zombie development team lost their jobs, and most of the QA team were dismissed, along with Dan Seamens. Shame.

Still... I don't think the QA dept did a great job anyway, so that is somewhat understandable.

I'm pretty sure that 95% of people who played through the easter eggs on BLOPS 2 only completed them because they watched some YouTuber's walkthrough. After seeing your post I went back and watched every single BLOPS 2 zombie EE walkthrough done by MRDalekJD and there were MANY steps in all the easter eggs that were straight up WTF moments. Like, no freaking way the common gamer or even great gamer is going to know what to do based on the horribly confusing or in some cases nonexistent clues. You'd have to think like Rain Man to do the kind of mental gymnastics that are required to solve them. There is a reason why the big zombie YouTubers most watched videos are these insane walkthroughs - because the 95%ers out there are completely lost.

To me all the maps looked pretty good. The gameplay though is all that I really care about so if it's fun enough to make you want to keep playing then I feel it is a good product despite not having nextgen graphics. If it's a painful process to go through the game (the E.E.) then it deserves to fail even if the graphics are the best ever.

Apart from Die Rise, we solved all the EE's while doing a black out. We did however get some help on Origins during out live stream. People in the stream were assisting us on that one, but we were deflated at that point after the ending was leaked and we were all feeling pretty low.

We were way ahead of NGT on MotD. Only part I got stuck on was finding the second spoon, which I was not even aware I was looking for it having just obtained the blundergat from the table so I assumed I had to kill the weasel. Gave up after 20+ straight hours of play and woke to it having been solved. :(

I think you are over estimating how hard they were. Most of the quotes were pretty self explanatory. Buried was a walk in the park. Only step to trouble us was the time bomb and what we had to do when we were in 'Infinite' mode. Maxis side was also pretty easy. I figured out the keypad code within seconds of looking at it, or at least what the code was supposed to represent. Figuring out we had to punch the signs was a total fluke. Even the bells part was easy because while looking around the maps for clues, it flashed up 'Press X to use' when we passed the bells, and it only does that when on that step.

It takes time, yes, and you probably have to be pretty decent at solving things like this, but I still felt they were pretty straight forward for the most part. The lack of and decent reward is something that just makes them even more off putting than they already are.

I am not saying BO2 is complete trash... far from it, but it was not the survival experience it should have been. The maps were poorly executed, and lack longevity across the board. No proper thought put into the development of the story or characters. I also found all the maps with the exception of Origins to be far too easy.

I still enjoyed the ride though, and Treyarch already have my money for the next game... season pass and all.

I agreed with DB here, I wouldnt call BO2 Zombies utter shit, looking at it alone, it was alright - but it was a massive step down from BO1 Zombies IMO.

I think that the zombie community had reasonably great expectations and we got zombies in odd way that gave to many of us a cold shower feelings. I still like to play Tranzit although I have Origins, Buried and Die Rise maps but the crappy steam gives me disconnection problems in middle of high round matches, my friend as host has 102mb/s and I have 10mb/s.

Many have embraced cod zombies but expectations are pretty much killed. I hoped (and many hoped) for 8 co-op mode for BO2 zombies since it runs on mp engine and we got Grief mode that barely anyone plays it. Tranzit is perfect in its size for 8 players, but no they wanted us to play like shit - 4 versus 4 versus zombies...  :P I am sure that many would have embraced the 8 co-op mode million times more than Grief! Xbox360 and Ps3 players managed to play Tranzit as 8 players using some tricks! But zombies mode doesn't need tricks, it really can be done since it runs on mp engine. Turned mode sucks even more!

What I would expect in BO3 zombies assuming you agree:

- 8 co-op campaign/survival (with option so you can adjust numbers of players manually like we know it from codwaw)
- grief and turned (I don't give a dimme for those but could be additions just for the heck of it)
- rewarding ee like we know it from the Moon (oh yea!)
- old maps returning via dlc
- Mod tools (with radiant) for enthusiast mappers and modders (via dlc at least)

A standalone zombie game would be a lot better, so the content can be all zombies stuff. Many of us have great ideas for zombies game, but it looks like a little percentage is only considered. I had debates on official BO2 zombies forum about 8 players being very welcome as co-op mode which some people didn't like the idea but rather wanted, I quote, 4z4! And now what I see is that I barely get to find a match in grief mode as many players rather go co-op, lol!
