Brilliant Safetrance, I love the format you wrote in listing it all out, and you explained it all very well. Thank you for that; I like reading people explaining what would make the Z experience more fun to them.

Thx! That's something what we need as basic, in the list are things we want to expect as now zombie mode is running on mp engine. Which means more amazing stuff can be made. For example, Tranzit should have 1 wall gun on all locations like Town and NDU area so that 8 players can be spread and decide where a player wants to camp/train.

Grief is a mistake, the time showed it, only few play it. Who really cares about fighting humans, you can easily go mp and fight humans in a proper way. I want to fight against zombies as all is about zombies, players basically build up against zombies not other players. So if there is gonna be 8 players, either it's gonna be within co-op or nothing, 4 co-op is good as is always was.

Older maps returning wouldn't be a wrong thing, they are old but they are not boring and they could return together with new maps.

And they should bring back the modtools, it doesn't mean that people would stop getting their dlc's but expand the game and whole community in bigger number. Why lose fans when they can attract more and more new modding fans and advertise themselves.

I've always wondered why Treyarch/Activision doesn't just sell Mod Tools as separate download once you bought the original game. Treyarch/Activision would get some extra cash in their pockets while the modding community gets to make & play custom mods/maps - its a win win situation.

Because theyd rather have you pay for the map packs.

Grief as the mode i dont like the concept of, but really its all i play on BO2 now, ONLY on Cell Block and Borough - I like Buried and MOTD but its a pain to get set up, so i just play grief, and when on Borough, we all tend to play it as 8 player co-op cause of jug being present, and on Cell Block, there is no Jug which makes it a lot more fun. I don't touch grief on the tranzit cut maps, because they're just $hit.

from november 13 of 2012 to this date, i never play grief or turned, because in the pc version the most number of players what you going to see online in a day its 1000(max), and if they release a DLC with "old" maps, it going to cost like $40 or more.

True, but the downside of this is that they isolate the game from the community (that made the zombies so popular) of growing zombies to something much better than it is now, such a shame.

I really wonder if they are at a real crossroads right now and are giving this great thought. Do we keep making individual zombie maps with an objective system or do we make a full on zombie campaign? If they get away from the round based individual maps then the fear could be that they'd alienate their core fans who really love that style (and buy the game just for zombies), but at the same time they may feel that it is maintaining that format that is really keeping them from expanding the idea and making a full-on zombie themed game. The ever present quest to make the maximum number of people happy & therefore make the most money.
Let's say they did release the MOD tools, that doesn't really get them anywhere. Sure, it may make us think more highly of them, but most people are still going to buy their next game anyway whether we love them or hate them; so why should Treyarch bless us with the MOD tools?
They have the right to NOT care about what a small fraction of their gaming audience wants and they have chosen to exercise that right. From a business standpoint, it's almost hard to blame them considering they'd get so little out of it if they did anything different.

The more I google about this Activision move of 3 year cycle mixing Sledgehammer in, the new zombies indeed we will see coming next year. What Sledgehammer would offer in their cod game is really a good question that attracts so much skepticism everywhere on internet. I think that we will get 4 more dlc's for BO2 (I hope so), this would get them more cash to focus on a real new next-gen CoD game. In between time the new dlc's would keep us entertained. In that case what maps would we get? Old + new maps? I would definitely like this.

If Sledgehammer fails like IW, then 3arch is the only one that makes sense to stay with and buy their game every 2 years, because singleplayer campaign and mp are pretty much the same gameplay from both of them and Sledgehammer won't be much different either (as it isn't hard to predict) so one can save 120 bucks for 3arch's cod game and 4 dlc's as zombie mode is keeping them truly alive in business. There is no much point buying cod yearly in Activison's cycle for mp unless someone is really impressed with the campaign stories.

Ghost didn't impress with aliens as the gameplay isn't good and addictive enough like zombies. So If Sledgehammer won't have something really good to offer beside campaign and mp, they are pretty much out of business like IW.

So what makes a good game stay alive is its good addictive gameplay, quality, fun, challenge etc. and zombies can be put on the top of all that came from CoD.  Perhaps, 3arch will come with a standalone zombie game! That would justify the 3 year cycle, because it doesn't make sense to buy campaign/mp shit every year.

Lol, this don't mean crap. Their still releasing the same game on the same game engine with the same damn shitty, boring campaign. The only reason that their adding a new developer to the cycle is because Ghosts didn't sell as great as other Call of Duty's.

http://www.charlieintel.com/2014/06/06/shgames-says-majority-of-advanced-warfares-engine-has-been-built-from-scratch/

The radiant engine (if it is still even that) has been given a huge overhaul, so looks like we will finally be getting that new(ish) engine we all hoped for. We will also have to assume it will be the same one that Treyarch will be using for CoD 2015 so zombies hopefully will benefit greatly from this!

The CoD engine has more potential than you think. IW and 3arc just don't know how to use this potential properly. Since a lot of people confirmed AW really looks like in the trailers, this could be the new best CoD ever. Still, I'm curious if it's gonna beat CoD4 and BO2. But, the most thing I REALLY REALLY want in this CoD, are the modtools. Also, like Delta said, interactive movies are also nice to play.
The radiant engine
*CoD engine - a game engine developed by IW, actually a branch of Quake III engine

It is still radiant though. And if we are going to be technical then it is actually the IW Engine, not the CoD Engine.

Also... I am fully aware of the origins of the ID Tech engine and it's various stages throughout the CoD franchise so I knew it was originally made for Quake III.
