By that I assume you mean the "Jet Gun"

I think youll notice, the Jet gun was a sort of "prototype" for the paralyser. Just as a lot of the perks eventually ended up part of other perks. Like Vulture Aid showing way points, and giving ammo ( 2 other perk features combined into one ) along with all the persistent perks

I notice they did this a lot in BO2, anything that didnt return for BO2, an alternative was given ( I think they considered the thundergun OP, so instead made the destructible shield, which has more limits on how you use it, but is fundamentally very similar )

Nah, but let's just say it's 50k, so if you want you can get 50k and then kill yourself or quit and it's basically the same thing

Oh you are so right Harry, I agree completely. It's stupid but I just gotta hit that X. It's like a drug addict, just gotta hit that X - don't leave a brother hangin' 
Maybe the starting room could have a big red button in the middle of it that says, "Anytime you feel like enough of a winner come press this button." And it would give you the end game.
