Hey guys.

I know this will probably start a flame war since everyone got a bit mad with paying for maps. But please hold out for a few minutes. I had the idea of people being able to donate a minimum of $5 (£3.27) to charity (Haven't decided what charity yet, most probably something to help children,) to gain access to early builds of the map which are fully playable with the FS Mod. You also get added to a Skype group were everyone will get to see any progress we have made with features and mapping.

I know some people will somehow find a way to get mad at this but, that's why I made this topic to get everyone opinions on the matter. But please bare in mind this is completely non profit. I just thought it would be amazing to use what we do here to help other people who aren't as fortunate.

Sounds good, if you going to decide what charity i recommend to look for a small charity, not the big ones like unicef, amnesty, ... , because than the money will have more impact

This is unbelievable, modding is a hobby and should be always be free, if people want to donate for the map they will do it without being forced to, this is going to ruin the blissful 'community', you can't sell your map because it belongs to Treyarch, bla bla bla bla...

The only issue I can think of is that how are people going to know the money is going where you say it is? Not implying that you would do such a thing, it's just the only issue I can see with it. But if this goes ahead I will happily donate towards it.

Good idea man, I'm looking into small charity's that help kids with their life if they have a serious medical problem like cancer, or a tumour for example. I would love to know we are all making kids, who would otherwise be depressed because of their illness, a lot happier

Maybe here? http://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm? Donors can leave a message with their username as a way to see who it is. Then perhaps with the requirement to do a 24-hour event you could do it with gameplay of the map with different people who contributed or something along those lines
