I Want the simple, classic get to the power switch and activate 3 generators to open pap.

there's nothing wrong with that. the reason i loved waw zombies when i played it for the first time was because it was like the arcade games i used to play as a child. no story, no objectives, nothing secret to do what you want. just get a gun and fuck the shit out of the zombies. treyarch managed to add more to it on black ops but failed miserably with black ops 2. i hope they learned their lesson after bo2 zombies and give us what we loved back then and add more in it like they did it with black ops.

Agree with conner, I think BOII Zombies was fundamentally ruined by the rather absurd feature/spectacle creep. Actually, it started to go down hill with Moon TBH.
The original (WAW) Zombies "Storyline" was interesting because it wasn't so much a story as a puzzle for fans to work over and theorize about. You didn't fully understand who "Sam" or "Maxis" was, and the entire affair had a really nifty slapdash approach to it. You could tell the devs literally thought "Huh, the zombies make a noise that sounds like 'Sam' sometimes. Let's make Sam a character in the next DLC!"
But then, they started to basically "explain" everything -- something that really didn't need to be done. So you get to Moon and you now know exactly who all the characters are and their motivations.
Then they dragged the entire silly plotline through a web of ridiculous mechanics and new features in BO2. I am STILL salty about buildables (just let me buy it), double PaP (completely worthless except on DSR), and a bunch of other shit that varied from map-to-map, from the Bus to the Die Rise dead-drops to the fucking awful soul boxes that now infest custom maps like a cancer.
What happened to just, y'know, playing the game itself to beat your record? Or interesting map design that allows for fun shit to be done with your friends (lunar landers, Lighthouse in COTD, water slide, etc)?
Nope, BOII made a complete 180 into dull gray maps filled with monotonous training spots and dozens of silly features. Oh yeah, guess I forgot about the bank. Or the fridge. Or crawlers dying when you move too far away. Or buildable WW's that strip any difficulty out of playing the map unless you arbitrarily force restrictions upon yourself.

I Love MOTD to Death. its with SOE that I hate because everything is required if you want the map even PLAYABLE.

I Love MOTD to Death. its with SOE that I hate because everything is required if you want the map even PLAYABLE.
Motd on the other hand isnt objective required like SOE, you can have the option to turn on the generators to open pap, its not a race like Shadows where you do the easter egg if you dont want the margwa to spawn and 1 hit you on round 7

you say you dont like maps where you have to do things to get to "additional stuff"
yet "love" MOTD - the map that requires you to do 5 things and ride a plane just to "get to" the pap
