Honestly, I would really like to know if I am the only person who loves the map Tranzit from Black Ops 2, and I will tell you why I believe this to be a great map.

1.) The massive size.

2.) The amount of effort put in to creating such a diverse and massive map.

3.) The bosses.

4.) The bus. Gotta love the robot driver :D

5.) The running space. If you ever get tired of a specific area, that's fine. There are many training and camping spots all over the map.

6.) The randomized teleporting. I have always liked the idea of teleporting and not knowing where I will end up. Adds difficulty to the map. (Unlike some people. Who love finding the easy way to do everything)

That's my 6 reasons. Disagree? Tell me why. I really don't understand why this map is one of the most hated maps for zombies. In my opinion. I believe it to be one of the best zombie maps treyarch have ever produced.

Interesting opinion.

I feel like a major problem is the fact that the map is covered in fog. This was done so that consoles which had been outdated for years could run the map without exploding.

This fog seriously reduces the actual size of the map (in terms of playable area). If there was there no fog, you could leg it around the map without worrying about the freaking denizens, and any map spot could be a training area.

The locations are, IMO, boring. Simple as. That was the biggest buzzkill for me TBH -- I'd been to Russian launch stations, beached ships in Siberia, and the damn Moon -- and now I'm at a diner. Or a farm. Or a generic town square. Yawn.

And the bus. Again, were there no fog (and despawning crawlers) the bus would be optional. Nope. You have to wait for it forever in order to get from boring place A to boring place B. Boring.

I mean, the concept is good, but it was just too ambitious.

1.) Massive size meant the fog had to be added. Massive size also meant a lot of running if you missed the bus (just like in real life).

2.) I guess it was pretty diverse, but not much detail really. If it were a smaller map and the same amount of detail was put into it, then it would be a very detailed map, but it's all spread apart, ruining the atmosphere of discovery.

3.) Avogadro was cool. May the creator of the Denizens die in a house fire.

4.) I loved TED. I liked shooting him until he kicked me off. The mechanics for the bus would've been better if you could call it to each place or pay a toll and get driving without waiting a certain amount of time.

5.) Too much training and camping by PAP was a death wish. I get there's room for training, but I would like obstacles while I do it so it doesn't just seem like the same 4 moves over and over.

6.) Randomized teleporting? Yes, I love it. Randomized teleporting in a map the size of 3 maps? No. There's certain places I want to be at certain times and, if taking a teleporter meant my zombie would die, I want to know where I'm going so I can prepare.

Last thing: that was the worst "wonder weapon" ever. Just... no. It's so bad I don't think I've ever even seen anyone say they're having it in their map or even mention the damn thing. It's THAT bad.

I hate it for many reasons:

1. Lack of features - for such a big map, i'd expect a reasonable amount of features, there is only 5/6 perks which is a joke, a massive lack of wall weapons, the 'wonder weapon' was absolute shit - you had to find parts all around the map to build it - and you can only carry one part at a time, you get it, you can only shoot it continuously for 15 secs, then it blows up into pieces on the map, should the parts hit the lava, they automatically respawn at their starting point, and they will disappear anyway if you dont pick them up quickly, and if your doing the EE under the tower, its common for a part to fall outside of the tower aka not on map, and you cant pick the part up and it just disappears. And if you use it up just before it blows, it takes a minute to cool down, you must have it out, so you cant run, you're very slow, the zombies will probably kill you. A complete joke of a 'Wonder Weapon'. Some of the buildables like the zombie shield were good, but idea of buildables needing another buildable to operate was just stupid, like that turret that would focus on killing you rather than the zombies.

2. The fog and denizens are extremely annoying, though i hear they are there to let the map load and so they slow you down in those foggy areas, but if that is the case, then why create the map for last gen? You can see how poor the map is visually without the fog in theatre.

3. The avogadro was just annoying and seeing as he didnt give you anything in return, he was just pointless.

4. PaP - It shouldnt be dead easy to get to PaP, but to get to it in Tranzit was a joke, as its likely you wouldnt be able to get to it anyway as your turbine would've broke.

5. Worst EE ever no matter what side, it wasnt fun to do and felt like a chore (unlikes Moons one) and it gave you nothing except a power up under the tower? We did it and got a carpenter... I thought that was a joke and we'd get something much better, but nope, we got nothing. I prefer an in-game reward as opposed to an achievement.

6. I like the idea of the bus and TEDD, but it could've worked much better than it being like the Tank in Origins. And if you missed the bus, you had to run a long way between areas even with stamin-up and some areas you wouldnt make it cause of lava.

7. Massive size means you've little chance of reviving teammates - unless you with them.

8. Random teleportation is why i hated it, when a teammate goes down in Diner and Im in Town, i've no way to get to him because teleports are random, and he'll likely die and then rage quit - and tbh i wouldnt blame him, but dont worry thats what tombstone is for - except that lasts for a minute, and so if you spawn with me in town, good luck in getting your tombstone in time. Tombstone and Who's Who should you be switched. Who's Who would work so much better in Tranzit as you'd have a chance to revive yourself. Tombstone on Die rise would work as everyone tends to be in the same place anyway.

9. Also to be quite frank, if your a good player and you've good enough guns and the basic perks - the map is quite easy, with a huge spot to train in really every section of the map, bus depot it can be done outside, diner is very easy, farm is easy, power is possible outside AK, and theres two spots in town.

10. I mentioned earlier, the lava - I hate the lava, it gets you down and creates the exploding zombies that will probably get you down without Jugg.

11. Going slightly further, i hated it how the cut and paste survival maps were literally cut and paste, and how Diner (the best map part for me) was never picked for survival, only that god awful turned crap.

Anyway, i think im done now, hopefully that passed some time and my AW Descent map pack is nearly done.

There is a custom map coming to improve these features you know.

Such as, Town will have weapons and other parts of the map will include more features that Tranzit Lacked.

The Denezins will be a better boss and will give points.

There will be less fog & Lava AND smaller distance to each location overall.

The bus will be like the Origins Tank where you could start up the bus at any time instead of it driving off without you.

As for buildables, the jet gun will have a cool off time instead of just breaking apart.

I agree with TimeLord and UnholyBeast (somewhat). The idea of having different areas to travel to gave it the feeling of being a large experience and the fog at first made it seem cool and mysterious. I agree as well that the MZ Slayer & Co version will probably be the version that we've always wanted.
Even having to use the bus to get from place to place seems like a fun idea where you are almost trapped in an area until the bus comes by but it just didn't translate well in the execution. Sometimes taking a big chance like this it can be hard to know how people will receive it, maybe their "yes-men" beta testers are to blame somewhat. Who knows?
