hey everyone i'm new to map making over the last few months, and this is my first ever map (well i have another i started which was a little ambitious for first try so that has been put aside for awhile, so i can get used to mapping.) so here is what i have done so far hope you guys like what you see and read.

Map "Story"

not really an indepth story but in the not too distant future a "virus" has spread across Britain and streets and villages have been quarantined for the safety of the uninfected. a four man team has be dispatched to one of the quaratined zones (Wychall Road-pronounced "which-all" my street). their job is to investigate the severity of the outbreak and take any action necessary to escape and report their findings. after searching one of the homes they finally realise the situation they are in is far worse then they thought.

note. this is the 1st in apotential series of maps

thanks mate, yeah I'm gonna add a lot more clutter and make it harder to train just takes ages getting more modern looking models haha

If you have CoD4 the models are already converted for you. You just gotta transfer it all into World at War.

Anyway, This map is looking real nice. The only thing that i don't like is how easy it would be to train or run circles, but it looks like your already working on fixing that.

thanks pal, i don't have a copy of CoD 4 but i guess it would be worth a purchase. yeah need to clutter up the open spaces once i add the soul chests it will give me a better idea of what to fill them with.

was thinking that i still have alot of front gardens to make along the street i have really only focused on the playble house but i am looking for more foliage on the map.

UPDATE: Due to work commitments and the fact that DualVII, Rambo and myself are trying to get NAG youtube Channel up and running, mapping has been slow.

the Good news is that i will be using my week off (next week) to get a playable beta sorted and out to testers by the 1/6 or 6/1 if you are stateside :)

Bad news is that some of my initial ideas i.e. content and EE etc. will be abit more basic then i originally set out to make (dont worry i have a FUTURE map in mind for those ideas that will be tackled later in the Year.) the reason for this is that i am going to be involved in two collaborative projects, in the next 6-8 months, both very exciting and i am looking forward to being a part of, which means the mapping my own ideas may have to wait.

The map looks good. I like that you have custom wall chalk for the Black ops weapons. Anyone else notice, that they say PhD is in the map, yet it's not shown in any screen shots like the other perks are?
