I have implemented a new system to the forum which will auto-lock any topic after 120 days of inactivity in the following boards:

• Work in Progress (including all boards within)
• Releases (including all boards within)
• General Help (including all boards within)

I have also set in place a 30-day inactivity lock on all threads in the Announcements section so that we don't have any more people reviving old news topics that confuse new visitors.

If 120 days is too long I will shorten it to 90. I think it's reasonable to assume that if an OP has not updated his topic in 120 days and no one has showed any interest in the topic over that period of time that it should be considered an abandoned project (in the case of maps) or a solved issue (in the case of help topics).

If an OP wants to revive his auto-locked topic he can get assistance from any forum staff member via PM or the Report system.

Yes those were the most recent occurrences but we've had people doing that same stupid thing for months.

Nope, like I said you need to request assistance from a staff member to have a topic unlocked.

Also to be honest Trem I think even 90 days is a long time. 60 days seems to be okay to me. If the OP hasn't solved his problem and no one has replied he'll just most likely make a new thread, because the other one he has will most likely be buried by the new topics out there.
