I'm looking to make semi transparent textures for my new map. I know how to do fully transparent textures using an Alpha map. This is an example of what I want.
You can see the glass is transparent but not fully, it still has color to it. If anyone knows the settings to do this please let me know.

Just adjust the transparency level in the image editor you are using, save as dds, like paint.net and then select blend instead of replace when converting in assman.

Just adjust the transparency level in the image editor you are using, save as dds, like paint.net and then select blend instead of replace when converting in assman.
blend will mess some stuff up, select GE128 and static detail. Works either way

that wont work, that makes it either completely transparent or not at all, MC was right in setting it to blend

yes u make it how u want it in PS etc then u set it to blend in assman, or it wont work

Blend has always worked for me, also Photoshop won't save Alpha with TGA even if you select 32Bit Depth, install DDS plug-in from NVIDIA (works with latest CC) and use DXT5.

DDS doesnt always convert, TGA does, just save it via paint.net, transparency is perfectly fine, and "should" be on photoshop
