Guess I should keep this post clean unlike the last version.

I'm done with mapping after I finish Rise V2 and probably won't be posting on the forums again as I'm fed up with some stuff going on, not going to rant about it unlike I did before I edited this post, lol.

So ye, adios!

Shame to hear that but this community, like any other custom mapping community has always had it's fair share of idiots. It is nothing new and is certainly not causing the scene to go downhill. The fact that the game is around 6 years may be a factor in any decline, but you will not find a "perfect" mapping community anywhere online, so you just deal with it or move on.

You have chosen the latter, so with that I offer thanks for what you have contibuted and wish you well with any future endeavours.

In my mind, I think that this community will start to decline even more when zombies stop becoming a thing in CoD.

This community will probably decline long before that ever happens. Zombies is going to be included in Treyarch CoD titles as long as it remains popular and sells well, and even if the next zombie outing (2015) turns out to be as poor as BO2 was it will STILL appear in the 2018 CoD!

It generates too much money to be abandoned, and as long as it's making money it will remain a mainstay.

People come and go. It is nothing new and he won't be the last to abandon the scene. The community will not suffer for it. People are still doing amazing things every day in this scene.

Anyways, I'd like to thank those of you have helped me come this far and those who have made my time on UGX enjoyable (for the most part).

You sure? I've seen more then a few people lately who claim they've quit the community and then they show up a week later posting in someone else's topic and pretend like nothing happened 

Sad to see you go but I'm mainly just tired of the drama. We don't need to have a circlejerk feelsfest every time someone decides to make a community announcement about leaving - and if it were me I would make my absense open-ended so that I could at least come back with some dignity later if I wanted to - but if you're 110% sure then be my guest.

If you're going to leave, please just leave and be done with it. We don't need these melodramatic threads of people crying over nothing. The reality is that the community will live on and new people will come in to replace people who've left. I've seen it happen many times before and I'm confident it will happen again.

Thank you JR for the tutorials and apps you've made for the community, and I'm sure people will miss being able to ask you for help. I hope you enjoy whatever it is you do next.
