the "Girl in the Ice Here" quote is going to make me want to blow my brains out if I have to hear it that many times during gameplay, lol. I suggest both adding the rest of the vox variants for that event and decreasing the frequency/chance of it playing. Other than that it looks like you did a really good job with it so far and I'm sure all of the Call of the Dead fans around here are going to be fapping to this video tonight  :gusta:

I see your point, that could get really annoying... but the reason I only used one variant for the freezing quotes was to prevent the mod from getting too large. I basically only used important quotes  for the Call of the Dead characters (level_start, weapon pickups, perks, freezing) but I might add a couple more to get a bit more balance and variety.

does the blizzard affect players in any way aside from just adding the freezing overlay to the screen?
I haven't created the blizzard round as of yet, but it will slow the player down just like the ice water or Frostbite Zombie.

If you enter the ice water you will instantly drop to half speed and over time your speed will decrease until you can't move - at that point the controls are disabled until the player takes damage. Jumping will unfreeze the player slightly, just like in Call of the Dead. If the player encounters a Frostbite Zombie, their speed is a ratio of the distance between them, which starts at 512 units away (256 units would mean half speed). If the player is in the ice water and encounters a Frostbite Zombie, both speed decreases will be played on the player, so that if I were at 256 units away from the Frostbite zombie and just entered the ice water, I would be at a quarter speed.

All this slowing down sounds like it will ruin trains but there has to be a perk or power up that reduces the the effects or cancels them out because it can get really annoying if you get slowed down all the time, especially on a large size map like this.

Another thing that will be cool is if the player gets a flame thrower or fire based weapons it allows him access secret frozen areas of the map, frozen items, a frozen super boss zombie in an ice cave etc.

The flame thrower can be used as a sliding ability to get to distant areas of the map fast. To do this you fire the flame thrower on the ice floor ahead of you and walk towards it this creates a slippery melted area the player can slide along getting faster and faster.

the idea of ruining training is a very good one. it removes the repetitive gameplay of zombies that is running around in circles to stay alive. adding obstacles the player has to face in order to run a train is a very good idea. however, pulling something that the player has no way to predict--for example, the panzer soldat from Origins spawning in out of nowhere--can be found more frustrating than something people like.

Why should everything be predictable? Unpredictability is great IMO, besides you get a loud ass siren to warn you he's coming, and if you got decent enough weaponry he's not that big of a deal anyway. And ruining training is exactly what JBird needs to do, especially on a huge ass map like this. Also Cold_banana's idea about the fire thing is great  ;)

Don't get me wrong about training but I hate it when it's to easy. I like the challenge of having to be careful because one wrong step could cost you in zombies.

Could not have said it any better my friend! I play for the challenge to see how far I can get, obstacles are a great way to balance gameplay - IMO, I think the panzer was a great foe to dealt with. As Stevie said, there is a siren to warn you of his approach, and the Ray Gun Mk II and Agarthen Reaper wreck that thing to shreds if you aim to his face. :)
