I would probably put it out of the map, in a zombie barrier tucked away somewhere, you would only see it if someone said told you about it. First person to find the xbox at launch wins at life

easter eggs are not "always" hidden. The "Ecola" machines in GTA that are literally everywhere are a form of easter egg

Posters, random articles from other games, films or media in random places. Hell in Perfect Dark and Goldeneye there were slices of "cheese" just randomly around lol
