Hello everyone,


I have a question about the trigger,  is it possible to move the trigger ?

like with MoveZ, MoveX,  MoveY or MoveTo ?

I'm working on something but I will know if it is possible to move a damage_trigger ?


I have tried to link the trigger to the entity and then moving but the trigger stay on the same place and will not moving and the entity self is wel moving to the location. ?


is that NOT possible to move a trigger ?

then is it possible to make:   an entity that could be moving and you can shoot on it  but how works that on the script if that will be possible?

Yes you can move triggers, i also think you can link them tbh. A trigger_radius can be linked for sure, but i think other triggers too.
Moving them should work with all triggers..
Did you try setting enablelinkto() first? Maybe that helps

I have only tried with this:

as a sample for quickly now :)


it like that I have only used a linkTo function and not that it will be enable it :)

DUKIP showed me something call SetCanDamage(); which works on scripts models and pretty much eliminates the use for the trigger.

okay,    I could also make a script_origin


that I have a script_brushmodel and a script_origin and a trigger_damage

then I linkto the trigger_damage to the script_origin then the script_origin linkto the script_brushmodel

to move the trigger and brushmodel for sure :)

but I will test it out :)

but need I then a trigger for that or only the model ?  but a brushmodel does nothing on it ?

If you want the model to take damage just do entity setcandamage(true); entity waittill("damage"); whatever after. Works on script_models only iirc.
