Could have just made a new trailer like a normal publisher would have done though. Not everyone knows the Call of Duty twitter account so i think the outcry from this was fairly understandable.

I think anyone who believes what they see on social media instantly - before checking the many many many legitimate world news sites or shows, are a bit gullable anyway tbh...

Well, certain news sites do get news story way before anyone else, so saying that people should dismiss this because no other news site is covering it is a little silly. Some news outlets don't report on stories until 1-3 days after they happen(for smaller ones anyway, sometimes bigger stories too).

Also that is not new nor a cry for attention.
I remember Bohemia Interactive did the same thing for Armed Assault which is wayy older than this here.
They also made a whole site etc (which disappread now? can't find it anymroe :C) and also a PMC site with career and etc.

And no one was harmed by that as well...

Thats simple PR, to give the game a real taste.
