Hey guys! I am currently working on my first map, and there were a few questions about using Radiant that I had
1. I was wondering how you could make hills or large rocks, because I can't seem to figure out how.
2. I was reading about making zones, but I don't know where the mapname.gsc file is. In other words, I don't know where root/mods/mapname/maps is
Any feedback would be appreciated; I am new to using Radiant, so I don't know how to do all these things ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
2.
On a game disk:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty - World at War\raw\maps
On steam:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty - World at War\raw\maps

Lol, I feel like all of the youtube tutorials I find when I search "how to use radiant" are from a few years ago, so thanks for the video
This is a route to the raw files, and for zoning you don't want to edit raw files, no? So make sure you edit your raw files. If a file is not in your mod, copy it from the raw into your mod's folder. "Mapname" is switched out with your mod's name, and root is your waw directory.

exo the way to add or mess with zones through scripts is in mapname.gsc in raw lol

I haven't done this shit in ages. I was sure you had to edit a script in your mod's folder for it, but I'm wrong once again.

There's no difference.
Actually, I don't even have mapname.gsc in raw.

Heres the difference:
Script in raw folder = Built in .ff
Script in mods folder = Built in .iwd
Its just the matter of if you want people to look through your .ff or .iwd for the script

lol, also it much better to put in iwd, cause u only have to build iwd to update it which takes like 2-3 mins where as compiling takes 10-15, also u can edit it in ur iwd without having to re build iwd

Lol, I might be doing something wrong because it only takes 10 seconds or so to compile, and the map gets errors when it starts, or crashes the game.
if it crashes the game, tell me what the error says or create a thread on mapping help, but it probably only takes 10 seconds cause ur map doesn't have much in it, i would recommend u watch blackjackjhonnys tuts on utube as they will help u learn more about radiant.
