This might be something extremely dumb that im not realizing but, whenever I compile any map as soon as it finishes building the lights (WaW window closes.) it will finish instantly. This then skips most steps = the map not compiling.

Heres a GIF of me just building fast files, which is the step it skips :

I found out the same thing happens when building any mod... :/ Thanks in advance.

PS : Ignore the purple / red text, I have fixed this recently

The few times ive had this its been

Needed to restart steam
Needed to restart PC
Had a brush or something causing it, deleted a huge portion of my latest work and compiled successfully, and slowly added it back in ( backed up first ) - must have been something wrong with something i had placed, although i did not work out what it was

It looks like it is saying that folder is read only, or being used by another program making it not writable. Exiting steam may help, or perhaps the process for cod is still running in your task manager?

Thanks for the replies but none have worked :/ I have noticed that if I untick "read-only" on the "Call of Duty World at War" folder in my steamapps / common, then it will retick itself after? Thanks

Ah, just fixed the problem. It seems that one or two of my files in "root / bin" were set to "run in compatibility mode : Windows 8" which I then un-ticketed. Seems to be compiling normally now ;D Thanks for the help guys
