Because it's not just "bigger than usual", not everyone has room for such a map, nor the bandwidth. I have plenty of both, but many don't. I've never seen maps exceed 400-500 MB even with a TON of custom content, 800MB seems excessive. I think it'd be more reasonable if it was reduced to 500 MB or so. And there are also complaints because it's exceeding limits, which is avoidable even with maps like this.

Couldnt of said it better my self people have to complain about anything really people you have to download a 817 mb file on a 2.1mb download speed it takes less then 4 minutes ... if you dont have room well thats sad cause a thumb drive from walmart for 12 dollars could fit this map 10 times over if you lag well get a better pc or dont play it cause those of us that have decent to high grade PC play it without problem instead of complaining get your money up .. its not like you  have to pay for it

Well, its not just about disk storage size. Some people also have data caps and have no alternative ISP with better or no cap.

bro not to be mean but go to starbucks or mcdonalds, download it on your phone and install it later on. i've never had a cap in my internet not even in my last country in which internet sucked (litterally the lowest ping i ever recorded in any game was 80 ping) so yeah, if i had a cap and was that worried over 400 mb i would either not download another map or download it over someone else's wifi.

Not to mention some us (myself) live a good few miles outside nearest town and therefore don't have 1337 fiber speeds, and it would take a decent amount of time to download a map of such size.
