Any mapper here can make a map in 48 hours.That's not impressive and it shouldn't be admired. The map should be the only thing that we focus on, and in my opinion from looking at the map it is evident that not much time was spent. That's my opinion and I am free to express it here and so is everyone else. If you want to play maps like this then I definitely do suggest you go back to ZM because there's plenty of 48 hour maps there. Like the OP mentioned above, it's a cookie-handout for anyone who can release a bootable map, so if you go from that to here you might have to get used to the different atmosphere. The most important part of any map is that it is fun to play, and boxmaps are not fun to play for more than about 5 minutes if anyone here even downloaded them.

At UGX we like to encourage people to put more effort into their maps, and that's not too much to ask. If you don't like it then that's fine, go wherever you want to go. That post was your first and only post so I don't think we'd be losing much with you gone.

A box map... are you high? Of course you are gonna say ZM is bad you are a fucking admin. Give this guy some slack he joined PC gaming 2 weeks ago and is already making maps that aren't shit for 2 weeks into pc gaming. Don't make insults to someone who isn't as "amazing" as you. Go pick on someone your own size and don't be a dick. He had more done but it got deleted so who knows what could've been done.

I never insulted him, I merely gave feedback based on what I had seen from him so far. I have not made a single comparison to myself or anyone else in the community, or said that he should be more like anyone else. I have only stated that he should try to put more effort into his maps if he wants to see more positive feedback. That's basic common sense so I really don't see why you are trying to dispute that.

I'm not picking on anyone, and honestly if someone does not want to receive feedback then they should not post their maps in the first place because that's literally what posting your map is about - receiving feedback from people that aren't your closest friends and who will be bluntly honest with you. Stop speaking for this guy and worry about yourself.

Just because Trem is an admin doesn't mean that he's "obviously going to say that ZM is bad"....

If you didn't know already, there are PLENTY of reasons why it's bad.

Lets just NOT start another Bridge argument, id rather see things ive been waiting for in my Recent Post box instead of a flamewar. No one has insulted you, but instead given you constructive criticism on what to do rather than what not to do. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices, if you lose all your data on a map and can only find a link to a pre-release (beta) - its better to scrap it all together. A map dose not need a shit ton of detail to be good, same with features - but its good to have them to some extent. For example Penguin by Eberus, had a lot of detail yes - but the only custom features it had was an objective based ending, the Type-99 LMG (Non-papable), stamin-up, an auto turret trap and everything else was standard Der Riese features. That map was one of my favorites and had a lot of replay-ability. There are many tuts on youtube to making a better/good map, and if you need help - you can ask the community, rather than ZM we actuality have reasonable answers and if you don't know how to do something, we help you rather than giving up on you in frustration. I would just like to say if you release a map with little effort, you have to expect that other people are not going to be happy with you. Instead of taking constructive criticism as an insult, you can listen to what people have to say and use it to your advantage. Next time, take time into your next map and think if its good enough before you post it on a fourm.

Most of the hate is actually being directed at Corbinboy. As for your own map, it actually looks very decent considering how new you are to the scene but broken maps tend to get it a little tighter than the rest.

I am sure you will learn from it all and from what I have seen, you look like you will become a great mapper given time.
