I am trying to get the sun to light my map. As far as I can tell the sun is only light my gun, and none of the map.
Here are my settings


In Radiant you can see that the sun is working, and casting shadows


In game the sun is not working and there is no cast shadows.


If anyone knows what I can do please let me know. I've been at it for a few hours now.

Did you add a light grid, and a chaulked box around the map?
Also your worldspawn has the KVP:

I have a light grid. Do I need to put the Chaulked box inside the light grid or outside it. And does the Chaulked box need to be hollow ?

Yes you do need a caulk box around the map, yes it does need to be hollow - and you also need to have the inner sides of the brushes a sky texture (doesnt matter which one it wont show up in game).

Thank you for telling me, I had know idea what was going on. I'll try this as soon as I get home.

How do I delete my old skybox
the real skybox is added to the worldspawn kvp's, that error must be cause somewhere in your map you're using those both textures(cause it doesnt matter which skybox you add to the worldspawn and which texture the sides of the caulk hollowed box has while you're just selecting one same sky texure for the box)

Maybe you put differnt sky textures on the differnt sides of the caulk? And the caulk box with the sky teztures is invisible in game.
