I'm not sure how I feel on the topic. I don't have Black Ops 3 and rather much play WaW. My question is... will BO3 map/mod tools kill the WaW custom zombies community? Not sure if anyone else feels the same way or not.

my answer is Yes ! In the first two weeks/months and No! After it . Why? No weapon porting in Bo3 so ppl will get bored and come to play oil rig .

People will find a way for Bo3 weapon porting. Even Bo2 has weapon porting so I can't imagine there will be no way since we do have offline zombies now. Also, no one will come back to play oil rig

The amount of people who mod WaW will definitely shrink in size, but I have no doubt people will stay back to WaW, either because they like modding it, BO3 modding won't offer enough (we don't even know what "modding tools" we'll get) and a lot of people probably won't see the need to upgrade for one game or will need to gain funds to upgrade to play so for a good while we'll still have WaW modders.

CS 1.6 is still being modded, and it's a much, much older than WaW and later CS's have mod support.

Put it this way, I'm more excited at just the possibilities of the type of custom maps we could see, more so than I am about whatever official Treyarch zombie maps come out for BO3.

There are a ton of World at War custom maps I'd rather play other than Shadows of Evil or The Giant. I have yet to play Der Eisendrache. 😊

You will still be able to port guns yourself xD
You will have all the same possibilites as in waw.
New Feature is the limit and some new raw files thats all, and a stronger engine.

Yeah what source? They haven't said crap about what you can actually do besides "create maps and game modes and more".

If they dont include that no one would really get the BO3 Mod Tools, if you cant port on that game well they made a bad decision then, Its called Mod Tools for Modding Mapping Tools, it describes it in the name so yeah you can mod the game.

So you're talking speculation? Mod Tools can mean anything, we don't know what they're going to give us so enough of the speculation unless you have a source.

agreed with scob , i can create a .rar file and but something in it and call it Bo3 mod tools . Did it define the mod tools correctly ? No! Who knows what they're gonna give us. Nobody.
