But the games are literally always shit... like ALWAYS... and they say "2 free games", they mean - "occasionally we will give you a real game, but only a 6 year old never played one that nearly every customer already has - like halo 3 - but wait theres more - we will give you lots and lots of pointless arcade indie games no one would ever wanna play as a bonus!"

I mean it says "two free games a month" on the G4G description - yet you only get one on Xbone - there are no specific terms for this. And im yet to see a retail game on xbone go up at all, always arcade

They couldn't recreate the experience enough on last gen because they were out of memory because the systems are 9-10 years old.

And cant run the graphics - or load all assets - or handle the draw range - or cant handle the amount of fx used in campaign - or handle the new ai mechanics - or handle the "amount" of ai required

or a near endless list of the "limitations" that the developers themselves keep quoting as the reason they need to move to next gen

We hit the limits of what we can achieve on last gen a long time ago, and have been trying to squeeze more and more out, but we are literally now at capacity

Rockstar have said the same about GTAV, they can no longer support adding features to the old gen version because the hardward just "cant" handle it anymore. They said they "risk" breaking other aspects if they try to get around these limits



long and short of it is, to get it to work, would require more work than its worth, and involve cutting numerous things out, which would prob complicate matters even further

True enough, but that didn't stop them from making a AW version, did it? I mean, you guys don't really expect BO3's campaign to be much, if at all, more demanding than past campaigns do you?

PS3 = 256MB GPU & 256MB Cell processor(which can also do graphics calculations and normal CPU ones).

as linear as they are, the capabilities, capacitys, graphics, fx, animations and near constant scripted events in huge well designed levels is infact - a very big deal

Your "personal feelings" about cod aside - the ones you reguarly voice - you do not know better than major gaming corporations, nor do you have the slightest idea whats in this next games campaign

Considering this one is to have multiple ways through the levels, meaning EVEN MORE hugely scripted events, massive environments, huge draw distances, new fx engines, capacity for co- op - which, regardless of what you think, is not easy to just "remove" for a 360 version, the very fact the old gen networks themselves cant even keep up ( titan fall ai was significantly better on xbone - blamed on the not being possible on last gens network ) etc etc

The old gen is dragging us down, those of use that HAVE paid for the priviledge of next gen gaming, miss out because of the tight people that want every game till the end of time to come out on the COMLPETELY FREE ONLINE ps3 network... Really bugs me that everyone goes mental at the thought of a game not coming out on a 7 year old system, forcing devs to downgrade quality and dig in to their dev time, to satisfy people that were happy enough to buy last gen, and all their favourite games - but refuse to upgraded

I was compassionate to a point, but now? Screw em, they are dragging the entire industry down, its been more than enough time, and enough of a price drop, for people to either upgrade - or accept that THEY HAVE A OUT OF DATE CONSOLE - AND THEREFORE MUST PLAY OUT OF DATE GAMES WITH NO SUPPORT

Something any PC player from the 90s already learned to accept. If your pc wouldnt run it, had to wait till you got a better pc. No crying to the developers and all over social media, threatening to change console to the alt brand... its pathetic

I literally hate that every game i own on xbox one, was shit - and no doubt due to it being designed "cross platform" as all my games are also on 360. Second a mention is said about a cod next gen game? They go nuts. So like, they dont wanna/cant upgrade? oh well just screw the rest of us that forked out £550 on launch and are STILL waiting for decent next gen only games two years later... coz we dont matter... because waaaa waaa I cant afford a console and have no concept of the words "save up over time"       ( if they had saved just $5 a week, by now they would have had one... )

And there's STILL fools blowing their cash on FIFA who-the-fuck-knows-what-game-they're-on. GL getting a quality game onto a console, unless it's made by a triple-A they won't have it.

And let's not forget PS and MS opening their wallets to get the devs, slaves to their publishers, to bend over and make them a console exclusive.

literally the "only" benefit of console gaming i can see, is that you dont have to maintain your own stuff - which is only really helpful to those pc illiterate people who are still gamers. But to the same effect, they are "notorious" for going faulty. I know a good few people that are on their 3/4th box/ps3

Saying that tho the only dodgy console I have - sadly seems to be the xbone ( out of 3x xbox 360, 1x ps3 - both 5 years old, pc, wii, 3ds, ps2, xbone and  ps1 lol )

The Xbox 360 I have had since 2011/2012 ive not had a single problem with, no red rings, nothing, and my Xbone I've had since March and thats been ok aswell. If you look after your console it looks after you, thats my opinion.

I've had my 160GB since 2011, only thing done to it was an upgrade to a 500GB HDD and still have an old 60GB which was only ever opened to repair it, both are fully working, so yes, treat it with respect and it'll stay going (though some of the earlier PS3's simply failed out right).

If you think about it logically the PS4 and XBone isn't THAT expesnive, like yeah, €500 is a bit of an investment and I know I mentioned before that some people can't afford it, but I do agree that putting a bit of money can get you it, my PC overall has cost me around €500, I don't have a job, I don't have income, I'm still living with my parents and I'm still in school, but I might help out someone with their PC, they give me money, might get some cash for doing some other small things for people, if you skip that bottle of Coke and that Kebab you'll eventually have the money. Took me less than 8 months to get the PC and another 5 upgrading it and it served me for 5 years before the mobo went bad.

lol same, my old PC is still sitting in my room, I have it set-up as a serverish PC to access files off of, and my other PC was working perfect only for a mobo issue but the rest of it is still working, even the PSU.
