Yeh 2GB version. So if I upgraded my RAM to 8GB or so I could run it in 1080p on decent graphical settings then?

Its hard to say for 100% since Nvidia didn't release the optimized driver, but if i had to guess you could get good FPS at 1080P with a mix of low/medium settings.

FYI, texture detail is mostly how much VRAM you have, not the clock speed or anything like that. So if thats what your after then you should be able to get highish medium detail settings.

I think youll be able to run it already tbh, but you would benefit from a ram upgrade anyway in lots of ways. You can prob double what you have for maybe £30

The ram is less important for graphics, and more important for "processing". You I5 is good, already, and your GPU is not bad either, its better than my old one and that ran all todays games on high already. You can also benchmark test in some games as a point of reference. Batman and GTA for example both have benchmarks, and if you have Nvidia, the Nvidia Geforece experience can auto optimize the particular games for you

I have 32, which prob explains how i keep like 10 copies of maya, a copy of radiant, 10 asset managers, asset viewer, 100 tabs of google chrome etc all going at once lol

Lol, but like I told you before I'm quite OCD with my programs/tabs, I try to always only have what I'm using open at any one time, like it literally annoys me when I have too much shit open (which is good for my shitty RAM I guess :P). So an upgrade on my RAM and I'd be good to go then? Hmm, maybe I could spend that PS4 money on a bigger screen then...8)

I usually am, but got proper lazy these days, coz i always need tons of stuff open at once ( mainly coz im always answering questions or referring to "temporary" stuff that i wont need later, but dont want to lose now )

Yeah a Ram upgrade would pretty much bring you up to date imo, id check ebay or something, i see ram go crazy cheap on there

Bigger screen - or "more" screens lol, i do love having multiple, comes in so handy ( and prob why im in the bad habbit of having shit tons open lol )

just make sure all your RAM slots are not already taken up on your motherboard or you will need to get all new RAM.

Which is the very foundation behind "upgrading your ram" MZ...

it needs to be changed

he only has 4 so a slot is likely empty, its 90% unlikely he will have 2 2gb sticks?

but if he does, then he just needs to replace both with 4 or 8 or something. Not sure what point you are making, as without changing the existing ram, will mean he "must" use another matching of the existing one - which will limit what he can add at all if its 2gb? lol

They cant be mismatched anyway and ram easily wears out, which is why its so cheap, id just replace the lot anyway, as most people do ( usually come in packs of two in shops anyway )

Old RAM is extremely tempermental and can lead to all sorts of unexpected issues ( like a pc refusing to even start for one ), so if you change your RAM, its best to change it "all" anyway

long and short, look in your pc, see what you have, then go shopping. if you have 2 2gb sticks, id just ditch em and get two 4s, if you have exra slots for ram then so be it, just leave them empty,

2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8

4 + 4 + 0 + 0 = 8 - and leaves room for more upgrades later

Yeah I understand how ram works lol. I wasn't asking a question, I was just "warning" him to check. If he only had 2 slots in his motherboard (idk if he actually does) and he had two modules of 2GB (its possible) then he would need to replace them both, (buy new) with either two 4GB modules or one 8GB module (in case he wanted to upgrade to 16GB in the future). If he did in fact have 1x4GB currently, and he had two slots total, then yes, he could just buy another 4GB and call it a day.

again, on a old pc, its beter to just replace the lot

Nothing worse than identifying "one" faulty ram stick, especially if said ram stick is many years older than the other

its always good practice to replace any existing ram when you upgrade it, ram doesnt last a huge amount of time anyway

Then there's also the fact he would need to match his current ram, so if it's ddr3 he needs another ddr3, whereas replacing the lot, he can just go for whatever's best, rather than make shift solutions

but meh

Oh damn, thought the picture said 660m all this time, oops. Still doesn't change much, the 660 is an old card. You'd maybe get 60FPS at 1600x900P with everything turned down to low/off once the drivers come out.

Very late reply here haha but one more question.. if i upgrade my graphics card can i run this on high/ultra? or do i need to upgrade other parts?

Depends on the graphics card. If you get a GTX 960 or better with 4GB VRAM then you shouldn't have any trouble playing it at all. Really, VRAM is the only concern if your pushing for high/ultra.

You will also probably need a new power supply. For the 960 specifically, a 400 watt power supply is recommend. However, i'd get a 450 watt or 500 watt to be safe. An additional 8 pin PCI power cable is required, which you shouldn't have much trouble finding anyway at those watt ranges - any power supply by any gaming focused vendor will have it.

I don't know what case you currently have, but you should probably do some measuring and research before you go buying anything. OEM cases probably won't have room for this stuff.

This was one of my issues, my new card is much bigger than my last, always thought it wouldnt fit, but "just" does. although is applying a little pressure to some sata cables im not happy with, need to get some L shaped ones and I should be good tho

Do you guys think this would be able to run it at med / high? I'm thinking about getting it but what to make sure it can actually run what I want it to.

I don't know much on the whole PC building thing so sorry if it's obvious lol.

Yeah that should definately be good for bo3. Like others have said, you could get the 960 with 4GB of VRAM which would only be like $30 more and would help Lot in bo3. But you should still be good with the normal 960 if you don't want to spend the extra 30 bucks.

I wouldn't advice getting that card with only 2GB of VRAM.

I recommend this one by EVGA instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487155

Comes pre overclocked but you can push for a bit more if you want.
