I made some custom muzzleflashes fx using custom images for pistols, shotguns and MGs, and corresponding PAP versions. They are the ones I used in I.E and Oil Rig and I think they are pretty good so I'm going to share them with this lovely community.

How to install -

Drag and drop the attached files into your raw folder, overwrite when prompted (this will remove the stock WAW muzzleflashes so either rename them or back them up if you want to actually keep those). Adjust your weaponfiles accordingly (should already be setup in most cases). Add the images to your mod obviously too. Add the following lines to one of your map's .csv files somewhere (might not be necessary but just to be on the safe side) -

material,gfx_minigun_sparks
material,gfx_bo2_muzzle_smoke
material,gfx_bo2_muzzle_single

Yeh it's a pain trying to find the mtls/images used in custom fx, thought I grabbed them all. I'll add that image and update the link.

Did you run into any fps lag with that combination on high rate of fire weapons? I did a little when I did something like that and put it on a deathmachine.

Can't say I noticed any fps lag no. It might possibly affect really shitty PCs though, who knows.

Looks great. Muzzleflashes are IMO one of the most underused aspects in custom mapping.
