We're very grateful for all of our new members! We are gaining members faster than ever before - to give the new guys some perspective, it took us almost 6 months to get from 500 members to 1000 members. Now, we've gained over 3000 members in the past two months!

We definitely want to hold a 5000 member contest in order to give one lucky member of the forum a token of our appreciation. We have not finalized our plans on what the contest will be, but expect to see a post about it soon.

It's good to see so many people have joined over the past few months. Ive watched this community grow over the last year and its growing so fast.

It helps us mappers as well to get a chance to show what we are capable of doing as map makers.

Contest ideas:
-Best kill compilation video
-Most entertaining footage (limit to 2 minute video)
-Funniest custom zombie video (limit to  2 minutes)
-people submit their ideas for the name of a gun and the UGX team selects one and that person gets recognition as having named a gun for the UGX mod V1.1
- write or make a video of why you should be the contest winner, most creative or funny wins as selected by UGX team.
-Random name draw (boring!)

Prize:
-Ballbags makes you your very own map
- A reputable mapper makes you your own single room map with features that you request.
- $20 Steam giftcard (boring!)
- Each UGX team member contributes something to a box and they mail it to you.
- Being able to name one of the guns for V1.1 (see 4th contest idea)
- The UGX team photoshops you into a picture with them so you can feel important too.
- Get your YouTube channel promoted on the front page for a week.

I'm happy with just winning an early build of 1.1 or 1.2 or whatever version it is LOOKS AWESOM

V1.1 is a pretty lame name. Why not call it something more impressive like. "UGX Mod: Earthquake", "UGX Mod: Brutal-Delux",  "UGX Mod: Skullcrusher", "UGX Mod: The Executioner",  "UGX Mod: Onslaught", "UGX Mod: The Butcher" or "UGX Mod: Murderous-Rage".  Something catchy.
