This will be my first map, Im hoping to make a good first impression.

Don't let it get you down that people aren't flooding your WIP with praise. Mostly people only get a bulge in their pants when they see pretty pictures. Plus the fact that you are a first time mapper and typically first maps are less than impressive. Never fear though, just do your best and enjoy the experience. There are still some of use cheering you on

Your map looks pretty good!
I couldn't help but notice that it's name is grammatically incorrect though, "Weihnachts Heulen" would sound better.

Weihnachten Heulen is a nonsense Name in German^^

What is amusing about a zoomed out side view of a town?

I understand my map isn't one of the better looking entries, but I don't fell its that bad.

This contest isn't about the best looking map, it's about the best execution of a fun idea. Visuals factor in yes, but there is a lot more to it than that. Without pointing fingers I can think of quite a few good looking maps that weren't much fun to play. Focus on executing on the most fun gameplay that you can and then let the chips fall where they may come December 6th.
