well ive at least got the combined wave gun model working in game, but im stumped on how to get the death animations working, ive added them in the xanim folder in raw, changed the tesla death anims to the wave gun death anims  in _zombiemode.gsc, defined them in generic_human.atr, and added them to mod.csv..but once i add them in mod.csv my mod wont compile. it just stops like 5 seconds in before it even compresses any of the IWDs, any idea what causes this issue?

note: im pretty sure i need to come up with something similar to  _zombiemode_tesla.gsc, except for the wave gun.
(i specifically used the tesla_gun weapon file so i could use _zombiemode_tesla),

help please? lol

Did you just use Toms Xanim converter on zombie anims? Cos that wont work, lol. Need to get them through Maya and fix some stuff before you can use them succesfully

So what did you do with the wave gun death .tanims? Just exported with Lemon and stuck them straight into your raw/xanim folder?

Just get a student version you can download from autodesk website, it's 'required' you study somewhere then you can use it for free for 3 years..

a bunch of translations for AI anims come out wrong leading to a plethora of things that need fixing ( most obvious is that the main joint is always 50% in the floor, due to differences with the translations when exported to tanims etc ) so all these things need fixing then porting

Then the anim tree ( generic_human )

then they need to be defined ( treyarch did this in zombiemode.gsc )

you would then need to set a specific death call back for that gun, assign a variable or something to the zombie when he is killed by this gun, to bypass the normal death and play this instead ( rather than overwriting the waffe - coz tones of things use those death anims... )

but they are "defined" in zombiemode.gsc, not there

anyway, like i said, overwriting thsoe means itll play the wrong anims for tesla deaths, any custom scripts that use tesla deaths and even trap deaths. Not a good move unless your pulling literally all that

"Add" these, dont replace.

zombiemode_tesla - is just the functionality for the gun, and marking as zombie as "hit by tesla", the rest of the death sequence is handled elsewhere

wait ok so whats zombiemode_tesla do then? i thought that was what was initiated when you shoot a zom with the wunderwaffe?
