I am compiling vis and reflections, but my model appears completely black when I run the game.
Simple error (and probably fix) but nobody seems to know either.

Model appears fine in Tom's BMX Utilities.

Could be a dodgy worldspawn, skybox, or lightgrid, more likely you forgot the images in your mod or (if it's a ported gun) you didn't colour the gun white in Maya before exporting.

I've seen people have this issues when they didn't put a hollowed out box around the map and give it a sky texture. Doesn't matter which sky texture, just give it a sky texture.
Also check your worldspawn settings.
I don't know why everybody immediately assumed it was a gun that you ported through maya lol

I've also encountered models turning black when they are intersecting with a structural brush. You could make the brush non-colliding if they player doesn't touch it, or just don't have it collide.

Vertices are all white in Maya, not sure if they are in the main file used to convert the animations.
Textures are included in the IWD, and the model shows correctly in Tom's xmodel viewer.

I've seen people have this issues when they didn't put a hollowed out box around the map and give it a sky texture. Doesn't matter which sky texture, just give it a sky texture.

I prefer to seal my map instead of giving the skybox cube, map has no leaks. Other guns appear fine.

This is an ongoing problem.
