I've had this happen twice now in my test map and I didn't figure out why it happened the first time but some how it got fixed. Its happening again and I am not sure where to start. I have removed all that I have done recently but yet the problem persist. It happened after I compiled.

Basically I am wearing the gun as a hat in first person. Third person looks fine. This is a dual wield gun so it is off to the side a little so you can see. Otherwise my head is inside the gun.




Edit:
Appears to be something to do with the viewarms I am using. But I don't know why. I switched back to another set and it works now... Any one know why? I've been using that set for months.

console with the viewarms I normally use:
Part 'tag_weapon' not found in model 'viewmodel_zom_pressure_suit_arms' or any of its descendants

I have had this problem often, previously I was told that some guns require BO2 viewhands set in the weaponfile (or other vewhands that have all the same tags as BO2 ones)

Dunno if thats it, but thats what someone suggested to me

You can try by adding viewmodel and idle anim in mod.csv, happens to me sometimes and that fixes it

Well, not sure why this worked today, but I tripple double tested, and it is def why it is working now. Added the viewarms directly to my mod.csv. I tried that yesterday before posting this question but it didn't work. I keep separate csv's for everything and never had issues with anything but knives and sounds before. Guess I'll add viewarms to that list. I have other maps done that way with no issues. Still not sure why all of a sudden, this map wants it done this way...

So strange. ???

maybe it has to do with how you set it up in asset manager
