ugx fire escape problem with path nodes and zombies

here is this issue when im in game with developer activated




and this is a image in radiant (never mind about the rest of it not being noded im just working on the first flite of stairs before i move on to the next bit :)




to me that looks noded right but in game apparently not :(

if anyone could help me would be great thank you

Zombies need plenty of space around them to navigate paths correctly. It definitely looks like the fire escapes are too vertically squeezed together... I don't think W1NG3D designed these with zombies in mind, but rather just regular players in an MP map... I'll wait for his comment on this.

I made these in multiplayer and never tested them with paths at all. They're alright for players to navigate, but it's very possible that there isn't enough height between the stairs for zombies or AI to navigate properly. I may remake the stairs as a new zombie-friendly prefab in the near future, thanks for reporting this problem :)

don't you need a special traverse for the zombies to climb a ladder? or do you just need to apply the brush entity, just wondering, i know the brush entity works with players, but not zombies O.o.

try spreading out your fire escape levels. like make them a little higher so theres more room for zombies

thank you for your comment ill try and make them higher its just the bottom set of stairs that the zombies dont like the path nodes wont connect the first flight for some reason but ill open the .map file and make it higher and see if that makes any diffidence thank you for your comment lol someone put it as a prefab on zm said it works for zombies like really so ill leave a comment saying its made for mp maps not zombies thank you again for your helpful comment
