This is a Terrible Map.
I sat on my lavish computer chair pondering upon the map's completion.
Was it worth it, was it as challenging as i expected it to be? Was the entire map just a incoherent unoriginal fad and a complete waste of time of both coding effort, map design and mechanics?
Yes. Yes it was. Allow me to elaborate upon what was and what has always been. That this map is a massive hive of references clearly for Youtuber Bait. Clearly naming all of the guns on the map to NGT References truly gave me a thrilling insight as to how the author was going to captivate me with his brilliant map design and truly revolutionary story mechanics. For Example, The map's entire storyline can be summed up in a paragraph unlike Mass Effect 3's entire ending, which is as equally great.
I crashed in a snowy place filled with zombies. Coincidentally, i am holding a lantern. There are alot of lanterns in this place. Boy oh Boy, this is Lantern City. There are so many Lanterns they've put them on poles and called them Lampposts.
Oh there is a maze, apparently i need a lantern. Oh, i don't because ive turned on the power in the pitch black (dim) dark. Yep, fantastic game mechanics. Oh look, there is a gun on the wall. Oh, The Hypermole. Isn't that the name of a guy from NGT? The Author couldn't be that cheap. Oh- look. Its Hypermole's Girlfriend for some reason. Wasn't that a absolutely essential part of the atmosphere. Didn't that make my experience even better.
Experimenting with the guns has actually made me realise i can actually finish the map without actually activating the power. Fantastic, clearly the Map Author wanted me to finish this map before i could gouge my eyeballs out. (Thanks Man.)
I farm the zombies for about a good 8 minutes and hit the radio with 25000 Points.
What a terrible map. What a disaster, i even played through again and the second maze is even worse.
This wouldn't be a hive of references without a funny TROLL FAIC GAIZ XDDD!!! Even Slender Man throws in a obligatory cameo! What a fucking terrible insult to the gamemode, Doesn't UGX have any standards for quality control?
When a map is blatant bait for youtubers and the alike to record. It overall degrades the experience for people who enjoy challenging maps. Why this is on the UGX Map manager i do not know, there are alot of better authors that deserve to be on the system and haven't. This is worse then Prison Mission, at least in Prison Mission the Map Design is its saving grace, everything else is so much more unbarable. This is literally probably the worst Zombies map ive ever played and i absolutely applaud the OP for creating such a spectacular failure, i couldn't find anything redeeming in this map. Seriously, im Sorry but there are other maps that do everything better.
The Weapons, The Mechanics, The Design. Everything.
Maps like these are one of the reasons i look in the comments section for people who are genuinely critics about this. When i think of great maps, i think of Farm of the Dead by C.H.N because it never forgot what the gamemode was about, and never got wrapped up in itself. Shinra Ops is another great map that comes to mind. Illuminati Island! Zebba Farms! Nazi Zombies is meant to be challenging and tense, UGX has done this before with quality maps.
I really pity the coders who create these new features for maps only to be squandered on sub-par map design and downright narcissistic Map Makers, ZK is definitely one of those. I mean really. How self absorbed do you have to be to actually insert yourself into your own zombies map. That is just plain out arrogance. This isn't a rant on Prison Mission though.
Throw whatever overused outdated memes you want to reply with, but i won't be coming back unless its for a download or two. Admins, if you find this a inappropriate post. Fair enough to you, but critism is where its due.
