So im looking to buy a gaming computer but I have no idea what to get. Im looking for something under $1000 and capable of running new games smoothly at decent graphics. I found an Alienware that seems interesting but id like to know you guy's opinions and what you have before making a purchase.

well I have an alienware x51 with the following specs

GPU:               Geforce GTX 660
CPU:               Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-3770 CPU @3.4GHz
Memory:         7.9GB
Resolution:     1920x1080, 60Hz
OS:                 windows 7

I paid like 1000 for it which I know is really a high price for a gpc. The reason I got this one is because I know nothing about building computers and everyone claims its so easy and u just have to watch some tuts on youtube. When spending alot of money on something with hopes that Im going to be able to figure it out with a chance I could screw something up I just leave to it to the pros. So point Im trying to make here is if u dont know alot about computers I would go alien. In my opinion they are awesome but If u know about or know someone who knows just build. I also suggest that you get a hard drive with more than 1TB. Well hope this helps u decide

yeah I can play anything on Ultra settings but like I said I had to pay alot for it. There is alot of pros with alien like its small size so if need be u could put it in a backpack and take it with u and hook it up to a tv that supports pc (most of them do) but a negative side is that they are pretty tough to upgrade because of the size unless u get the pc above the x51

I build a PC on LDLC and price is 1038€ (france)
2 TB Hard disk
GTX TITAN 760 4 GB GDDR5
8 GB RAM with 1866 Mhz (it's very speed)
i7 3770 3.5 Ghz with OC to 3.9 Ghz

Link : http://www.ldlc.com/b-f2514d9db05fc051.html
Make this on your store (your country but no on LDLC) why not materiel.net I think It's support on USA ?
 :)

This config is better than Alienware and low price.

Three words: build it yourself. You can do a lot with a $1000 if you build a gaming PC yourself or you could take the easy way out and get one from iBuyPower worth about $750 for the same price. I do not recommend it though, just build it yourself so you can save cash on all their fees.
