That depends on what information is stored and what is not. A keylog for example is not what I count towards the "typically saved data".

There's no keylogging... That'd be illegal even if they told you they were doing it. Microsoft aren't stupid, they know what they can and can't do.

i was on google chrome but i was searching through duckduckgo. it took me a minute to figure out what all the things were but i eventually realized they were drugs.

If you don't want them too keylog you disable it. and if you don't web tracking get a nontrackable browser and use a proxy, also have two google accounts. One for business and the other for leisure. and whenever you do anything that is even remotely shady, turn n your prox and annonymous browsing, and your free to go.

This method keeps most tracking away. Besides i don't really care if microsoft is tracking me. I'm sure after all the things i've searched without my proxy and annonymous identity browser, the government is probably already tracking me.

What most people assume to be their governments or MS strange obsession with knowing what you google, in reality is just gathering info they use for "marketting". Theres no reason to assume otherwise ( 90% of people saying that have never had this info used against them - therefore have no counter argument at all )

upgrading a OS doesnt effect files like that "at all", should only touch the "windows" files for a "upgrade"

I have a small question: is the windows 10 version already downloaded but waiting to be installed or does it still needs to be downloaded? Because at home i have a slow download speed and at school i have good download speed but a data limit of 14GB/week. Does it approximately take much time? (because if i download a steamgame it sometimes take like 10 hours at home  ).

Wait, is this the wrong place for this? lol. I am still having issues with Win 10 on my wife's pc, but someone told me it was because it is a compaq. I did the same thing with her chrome book, before they added the revert to older version button.  , I never learn.
