I feel it would be a good idea to institute a time-out policy. If some people feel the need to act like children than they should be treated like children - a one week suspension and after that time has elapsed they will be given the opportunity to make a formal apology to the person or persons they have acted less than favorably towards and if they do not then they are more than welcome to take there bad influence to another site.

We've been enforcing such a policy already in the last few months and its been ineffective. The people who we put in 'time out' (2-3 week sitewide ban) just return to their bad habits after a week of being back on the forum.

I can understand messing around and having a bit of fun - but reading about death threats and making fun of others and there personal lives is getting a bit out of hand. have these individuals been permanently banned yet?

I am all for a perma ban system. I would be devastated if I lost all the respect and even the title I have gained on the forum. Plus I would have to get a new identity/fake account and lay low under the mods radar. Much easier to behave lol

agreed - there are plenty of good and helpful people on this site - its time to start getting rid of the dead weight

Idk about anyone else's situation but Trem took immediate action with connor as soon as he was aware/had proof of the situation.

If I were to implement a system I would give all mods the ban hammer and let them get trigger happy with it, with a catch. All bans have to be approved by a team member and must be accompanied with a documented account with pictures of the situation. A second check ensures fair play for both mods and users.

Again +1 to Trem for dealing with situations, yet again, in a fair and respectable manner

Yeah that's the most powerful thing we have going for us. People get annoyed that they lose their recognition (name, stats, ability to speak), and even under a new account they can't get any of that back without being banned again. So it sorta works. Plus they have to dance around the 20 post minimum before they can post something without moderator approval, so most get tired of that and stop trying.

We don't want people to think we throw permabans around like free candy but they need to be utilized more, yes.

if i got angry and want anyone banned coz they said a bad word about me i will get a heart attack. Just grow up and move on.

People of course will be permanently banned if they severely break the rules and/or are repeated offenders. If there was no "PermaBan System" people could get banned and come back fresh with more troll in them than last time, and repeat.

Of course, and this has been the case on all forums I've been apart of, you'd really need to annoy staff/severely damage your place to warrant a perma ban.

Only one perms banned I know of is jzob on that note. Although I'm sure there's a few others

Nothing, the community just slipped into a very tiny dramatic show but the admins took control of the situation. Nothing to fret over, really.
