it might just be it works totally different in mp, not sure. In the zombie_scripts all those functions in the end just call DoSpawn()

Im not sure tbh, your best option might be to dig through some raw\maps\mp scripts and see if you can find something in there?
Dig through some mod menu's also, they usually have spawn bot functions. You might learn from it
