i know that this site is for modding zombiemode but im hoping that someone can help me, im trying to make a mod where each player in MP has a small team of AI that fallows them around the map but the problem im having is that i cant figure out how to spawn an AI,  i know its possible since MP has dogs which are AI. ive looked throught the script for the dogs but when ever i try to spawn an AI the same way they did the dogs but no AI spawn.

Create any spawner in radiant, and make a script target the spawner and spawn in AI with:

Code Snippet
Plaintext
spawner DoSpawn();

That should be all to get it to spawn, then you need scripts etc to set it up, make it follow the player, etc etc

i tried that, but it says DoSpawn() is an unknown function, same thing for ForceSpawn() and StalingradSpawn()

thats what ive been using since thats what the dogs file has been using but it doesnt appear to be working,

Have you looked here for any info maybe?

yeah ive been using modsrepository for all that ive got to work so far with mp, i havent found much on how to spawn AI other than doSpawn and forceSpawn. and spawn_ai is a unknown to MP as well

ok so ive finally got it to start spawning a few AI but as soon as the first one spawns it crashes with an error stating

"AimTarget_GetTagPos: Cannot find tag[j_helmet] on entity"

any idea how to fix this?

from what ive seen most of the bots that are spawned in mods are just faked players, which makes it hard to fallow since the game basically treats them as an actual player

thats what ive been doing but so far the only luck ive had is from reading about how the dogs are spawned
