Does the sound limit of 1600 ( 2400 with T4M ) limit the amount of sound alias lines you have or amount of sound files you have?

Pretty sure the same. Coz you use the soundalias to path the sounds for the game. I could use 3 different soundalias lines using one sound. So the game will only read one. Short story answer is sound files.

Does the sound limit of 1600 ( 2400 with T4M ) limit the amount of sound alias lines you have or amount of sound files you have?

Sound files, and there's a difference between Loaded and Streamed iirc.

I whipped up a soundalias file for Garage to fix the fact UGX Mod Weapons use WaW Fire Sounds for upgraded weapons, Every singled alias (which is around the amount of PaP'd weapons x2 for 2d and 3d) all used the same sound file. Removing the soundalias, my loadedsound usage was at 1594, adding it, went to 1595.

The engine sucks, but isn't that bad to count every alias as 1 sound. lol

Oh ok thanks everyone. I was just asking because I wanted to separate all my gun sound names into different lines, but since they use the same files, I wondered if it would put me over the limit like that. But I think I proved that too myself already anyways because I looked at BO1's common_zombie.csv and it had 6800 alias lines or something like that, and I'm pretty sure the limit in BO1 isn't that high.
