I dont have any porn (incase family or friends needs to use my computer) nor have any windows 10 updates enabled (i'm running windows 8). but I'll look into some softwares.
 Might be a good idea to give your PC a good ol' clean out aswell
Delete stuff you dont use anymore
and run some maintenance softwares and defragging
When I was having issues, I refreshed my windows aswell, using the media creator.

I need help. When I go into a Custom Map (I haven't tried this out on normal maps) I always load it up with the command "devmap". Now though, when I load a map in devmap, when I go to turn on god, it won't let me. There is two versions of it. One is in Yellow text and has Not Allowed beside it, and one is blue, and that one does nothing. here's what I see.
 


This usually means they have put in measures to disable these kind of commands for a pure experience, and unless you remove the measures yourself by getting into the map's files, you won't be able to use these commands.

Using these commands completely kills the reason for zombies, the design of these maps are made completely irrelevant when you do that.

Honestly unless you're developing the map yourself, or are doing tests for the developer (and even then) I just recommend play it properly and don't use cheats man.

So I recently downloaded a custom gun and dragged all the contents to raw, then the images and weapons to my mods folder. In game, the non-upgraded weapon works completely fine however, when I upgrade it it comes out completely invisible from the pack a punch and when I take it I can only see the silencer and the reticle. https://gyazo.com/d3bf76caed8331d62b6b2bca094cc11a this has been happening to lots of other custom guns and I know for a fact it can't be because of missing contents of the gun. I'm not sure why this is happening but if anyone can help me that would be great.

My guess would be the camo or textures you have set to the upgraded version of the gun is missing from your map. Some custom gun makers set their camo to what their camo is, and in this case since you don't have such a camo in your mod, its invisible. Try alter the model file and checking what the camo is. (Default pap camo is mtl_silver_etching)

It's not a one thing must do, The Hint-String can be changed to anything and can even be deleted. What is important is to set the cost and remove the "&" Before the Hint-String.

I always delete my upgraded/not on the wall Hint-Strings to save on the limit :P.

ye doesnt the "&" look for like a string or somthing from the thingy.. I cant remember its been a few weeks since I have been modding, been grinding revelations :3

hello guys , my problem is :

i create a brush and then i apply a terrain patch . But when i apply the terrain patch , the texture of the brush become white and i can't change the texture . pls help me guys .


You might have the grid thingy turned on, you can find it at the top of radiant, it like makes patches look white and weird. One of the clickable buttons I think

looks like you tried to use ugx mod or something with the script placer. Easy fix. Go to root, raw, images, search said image, copy and paste to mods, mapname, images. Tick in launcher and compile. Easy fix really

So where is he?  ??? There's almost no trace of him.

I have no idea if i'm stepping into drama or not here, but couldn't find out anything on the forum, and was planning on using some of his awesome work in my WIP map.

Some stuff went down and I believe he left ugx because of it. He was more or less disgusted with what happened. If you want to know what happened I am sure many can elaborate but just know I dont think he will be back.

In the console of the launcher when i try to compile ff i get an error and it says that:File Handles:
----------------------
0 files in iwd files
Couldn't load fileSysCheck.cfg.  Make sure Call of Duty is run from the correct folder.Loading map file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Call of Duty World at War\map_source\barebones.map
Material 'case' is missing
Cannot find material '$default'
(I have the steam version of WaW and installed the modtools in the right folder) :(

Are you trying to build the barebones mod or compile it or something?

kk so I fixed it by just installing T4M. It works fine now. Thanks for everyones help tho

This just upped the limit. You're better off lowering your sound assets used and not just putting it to the side and fixing it with a modification that is generally frowned upon if its not needed. You do not need T4M if sound asset limit is all you're hitting. You gotta learn how to fix problems and not put them to the side, or your map will probably be heavily critiqued upon.  :P

Ok So I did everything you said. I put my entire weapons.csv text into my mapname_ignore.csv and put that code into my mod.csv and nothing new.
Why would you set the whole weapons csv to ignore? This will make all the waw guns silent and will probably remove some important sounds...

Ok, so I commented out quite alot of stuff and it still comes up with the error (Used # not //). I honestly don't know what to do.

give the weapons one a go, you can get rid of HUNDREDS of unused sounds in there. Be careful though, remove the wrong sound and you will have a silent browning  ;D

This suddenly happened after i changed something in my worldspawn settings and i would be happy if someone knows why this has happend, it might have happend of another reason but i dont know

I've had this happen to me many times before and I am pretty sure your problem involves the worldspawn radiant settings that involve anything defined with color, that you picked with the colour selector.

I generally get discoloured models when I change sundiffusecolor, right now to make everything look proper I have the diffuse colour a different shade to what suncolor and color_ is, I am pretty sure its when you set the sundiffusecolor to an unnatural colour, in your setup, possibly the green might be an unnatural colour.

Fingers crossed they don't do a Blundell and hide everything in the map behind forced side quests and multiple steps. I want to be able to go in and kill zombies without having to spend around 1-2 hours doing shit EVERY, SINGLE, FUCKING, TIME I play a map.

Yes! I wanna go into a game and get killing, with my wonder weapons not taking 30+ minutes a game to obtain. PER GAME.

Playlists control the amount of players connected and it's capped at 4.
So it'd only work as 2v2.

Treyarch did talk about how they would like players to create their own game mode, they might give the possibility for you to change said player limit?

Perhaps max 12 players? 8 v 8 grief oh god no
