What application do i need to get them?

You'd think they'd be in the IWD but they aren't. The only sounds that i can get are the fire ones for SOME of the weapons.

Nearly all of the CoD4 sounds are in the CoD4 mod tools, found here: http://www.gamershell.com/download_22849.shtml

The rest of them (including M40A3 and some others) have to be extracted this way (see last post):

I did. The only thing that my mod tools comes with are the firing sounds. So i need to extract the rest by hand then?

That would be correct.

The only tool I've ever used for extracting CoD4 sounds is Aint No Me in team's FF extractor, and it isn't programmed to get those sounds. That said, after all this time there may be one that is.

i googled cod4 gun sounds and found this haven't tested it now but you can try it

After I removed the first link I realized that some of those sounds were included with the CoD4 tools. However none of the reload sounds were and some of the firesounds were not either, which makes them copywritten content from IW since they have to be ripped from compiled assets. This is why the link was removed.
