My laptop which has a dual core CPU and a 2GB VRAM GPU ran BO3 Beta just fine. Had everything maxed out except textures.

I wouldn't advice getting that card with only 2GB of VRAM.

I recommend this one by EVGA instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487155

Comes pre overclocked but you can push for a bit more if you want.

What does Vram actually do? I really don't want to spend anymore money then I am already but it's that important I probably should.

thoughts?

or

would graphics cards like this be better?

The 970, but its also way more expensive. 970 will get you 1080P ultra on just about every game. 960 will get you high/ultra in just about every game.

Holds stuff the video card needs to process, similar to SYSTEM memory but for the GPU only. Back maybe 5 years ago 2GB was plenty, but now games are starting to come out with more HD textures, models, etc you need a lot more if you want to crank the graphics up.

Here is a video that may help explain it better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Utv144XeHag

Well, you should probably know that there is an issue with all 970(that i know of, unless they fixed it) where only 3.5GB of the 4GB is actually usable(usable = works normally).

Also, you'l need atleast a 500 watt PSU. I'd recommend 550-600 watt to be safe.

This one by EVGA looks good: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=220-G2-0550-Y1
