GPU has only 16 CUDA cores, so i'd say no on it. CPU is fine though, it has two actual CPU cores and 2 hyperthreads(as per all laptop i5 models).
Edit: also, the laptop looks pretty old. I wouldn't recommend getting it.

This. Both are still pretty weak though.

Honestly, i'd be surprised if you could find a better laptop than that. It really is a hell of a deal considering it packs a 940M. You shouldn't have any trouble playing games like Shovel Knight(a very casual game) with it.
The only supposed draw back is the display. Its a TN panel which doesn't offer the best color quality. Even so, the hardware specs are impressive for the price.
