Via a symbolic link maybe. You'd have to do it for every file in every mod.

isnt the whole point in having SSD to benefit from the speed advantage when doing exactly this - playing games?

therefore game and game content should be on the drive, and everything else off it?

Depends on the game. For most having a game installed on an SSD isn't a big deal(World at War) while others(Battlefield 4) it makes a huge difference.

Most people just use SSDs just to increase general OS loading times, not for storing games.

I never imagined it would be that much of a dramatic performance increase, but my buddy at work was determined

He had his friend build him a pretty nice rig, but all he wanted it for was World of Warcraft, and was adamant that he needed a SSD to make it run better?

Im like, im sure the PC thats 150X more powerful than the old one will do that anyway, the SSD will improve speeds, but not massivly considering the PC is already much better?

I wouldnt imagine WoW requires too much, but then I wondered, it is constantly loading game data for its "seemless" maps i suppose

:P

Ignore HitmanVere, he knows nothing about computers.  :troll:

but really, yes you can't move the directory itself, but you can create a symbolic link that links files from one directory to another, with the link file taking up no space on your hard drive.
