Now I know, this being a Custom Nazi Zombies Modding site, that this site has probably more PC gamers than console gamers or multiplat gamers like me but I was just curious as to which one will/is getting more of your attention.

The reason I am asking this is because of how similar they are, I mean these are both big titles and with now Doom entering the "videogame" arena it looks like it is the beginning to the revival of Arena Shooters like Quake, Doom, Halo, Wolfenstein, and Unreal Tournament. Which to be honest has been at rest for quite some time with anything Arena based being largely ignored aside from Halo on the X-Box.

So I guess other than the obvious question of Doom vs Halo, another question would be do you think Arena Shooters will make a come back? I mean personally they are my favorite type of shooters hence why I play Halo so much when not on my PC along with always being a big fan of Doom.

I haven't really played many arena shooters before, but from the MP and SP gameplay I saw, doom looks fucking amazing. Needless to say I will most likely be picking that up when May rolls around. I don't have Xbox so I definately won't be getting Halo lol.

I would rather play Doom than Halo, I don't enjoy halo at all and Doom looks pretty awesome from what I've seen.

According to all-knowing Wikipedia, id software didn't put a great emphasis on the story which means that Doom will at least have that in common with Halo 5. I think if there is even a halfway developed story combined with that insane gun-play and over-the-top gore that we've been seeing I feel like it'll be worth my money.
I'm thinking, a darker, grittier Serious Sam 3 with fewer annoyingly repetitive waves of enemies.
