So, I have been having an issue for a while now, and I recently discovered it was only happening in full screen. I can play the map fine in windowed. I can set the graphics up or down and I never go less than 60 fps. But when I put it in full screen and load the game, it lags in a black screen, never starting the map really, or starting it realllllllly slow. I get no music for starting the round sometimes. I'm just stuck.

I'm not really seeing a big difference in console or logfile between windowed and full screen, but I don't really know what I am looking for.

I can get the game loaded in coop with the second player in full screen, eventually, sometimes (when it don't, the host can quit and the full screen is still in game), but if the host is full screen then the second player just keeps getting the choppy connection interrupted, and the host sits there never fading the black screen away, hearing and moving in slow mo.

I'm not sure how long this has been going on cause I always play in windowed mode. But I think it was been a while.

Try running the DirectX setup files in root>DirectX again and see if it fixes. If not, try reinstalling your GPU driver.

Thanks, I've confirmed this issue on three different pc's. I don't think that will be it, do you? That sounds more like a unique issue to me? And this seems to be a global problem.

I suppose that depends on if the computers all us the same GPU and driver version, which i'm assuming they don't.

Are you using the same game profile? I've had issues in the past when maps would set some dvar in the profile and it'd cause the game to start acting up(slow launch times, freeze when changing graphics settings, etc).

Edit: try deleting your profile cfg and see if it helps any. It'll just reset your settings.

Thanks, no, three different profiles. The other one, not one of my profiles discovered this before I did, and also thought it was a direct X issue, since I was not having the issue. Turned out I didn't know they were in full screen and I wasn't.
